It's kind of silly that he has to if you think about it.

He already beat Charr and Takam decisively and won the wbc silver belt.

Why does he have to fight more people to become mandatory?

The only reason they were saying that crap about him having to fight Perez is because it was suggested to them by k2 of all people.

Kind of funny how Povetkin has to fight three better fighters just to get the same opportunity Stiverne and Wilder got fighting lessser opposition.

All the same, I don't know if the Russians would bid super high for the WBC trinket fight. With Wlad it was for many belts, not just one.
    I don't think a Wilder equals a Wlad pricewise.

I am sure Wilder will do an optional in the USA first before any of that stuff goes down.

There is literally no reason Wilder shouldn't want this fight. He would shut the mouths of many critics, for a bit.

Povetkin just stopped Charr and Takam... Wilder just beat up C level Stiverne.

It will go to whoever wins the purse bid, if that's the Russians then it will be scheduled to take place in Moscow.

Doubtful. The Russians would put up a he!!uva lot more money than would come from a U.S. fight. Dream all you want. A huge Moscow event is more money for both fighters. That's definitely the way it would play out. Even if Fury beats Wilder, still Fury/Povetkin would be in Russia.

So why aren't guys like Fury, Glazkov, Browne, Ruiz, or Joshua going after Ruslan Chagaev WBA title or the current vacated WBA interim title?

These alphabet orgs don't even want to unify their own titles.

I think most people think of Wlad as the WBA champ as opposed to Chagaev.

The WBC has Povetkin as one of their champs and they don't even consider him a mandatory yet for the championship in the same division.

WBA is really bad though. That's the org that has Juergen Braehmer and Kovalev as light heavy champs with no plans on them ever fighting each other.

                  Make this fight happen. Please.

Imagine this, Wilder-Povetkin & Wlad-Fury. Those are some solid heavyweight fights the public can get excited for. I know I would be.
Say Wilder gets between $5-10 million to fight Povetkin in Russia or they take Povetkin over to Vegas and he'd still get a super payday, he'd be an idiot to turn it down. Problem for Deontay, regardless of his last fight, he lives and dies by the knockout.

I'm not one of those guys who say Povetkin will definitely knock him out, but it's definitely a possibility. Even though takam and Charr aren't on Wilder's level.

                  Hope these fights happens.

Why would they go and fight someone like that? He has the equivalent of a silver title.

He's not even a top 15 guy. Never beat a good heavyweight in his life.

Stiverne is better than Charr and Takam.
