Golovkin's boxing skills are really underrated.

People make him sound like a hard hitting come forward guy that can't fight kn the back foot but when you're an olympic silver medalist with an amateur record of 245-5 I'm pretty sure you've seen it all (in terms of styles). I genuinely believe will rasily dominate this subpar 160 division which of course isn't his fault and I don't blame him for wanting to beat these guys up. Will be interesting to see how he does at 168 but bear in mind he fought at light heavy in the amateurs and still KO'd guys, notably Lucien Bute with headgear on.

I don't think so. In fact, I think it's the fact that he is technically sound at so many aspects, along with that power, that makes him stand out.

I agree but ODLH recently said in an interview that he favours Canelo cause GGG is apparently one dimensional and can't fight on the backfoot so I'm just countering that arguement.

I disagree if anything he's overrated people talk like he's an ATG already when he really has beat nobody.

I just don't see what others do. I think his power against subpar opposition has stopped those glaring flaws showing up.

He doesn't impress me despite being head and shoulders above all the other middleweights which in truth are rubbish.

Says a lot about a person when his opinion is formed only on the extreme and obsessive components of a fighters fan base.

Overrated in terms of standing in boxing but underrated in germa of actual skills imo

My thing is that in the stevens fight, everytime GGG got hit, he would stop punching or take a step back.

Most people think Golovkin would wreck Canelo, which might be right but it would seem to me Golovkin is not the one getting overlooked in that mix. Oscar's feelings aside

Golovkin is the next P4P King.

I wish I could find that interview with Macklin. Gennady does so many subtle things that you don't realize until you're in the ring with him.

He gave an excellent breakdown. I'm looking forward to the Murray fight and I hope he can take Gennady 12 so we can see his full arsenal.
