“There also is a new 20,000-seat arena under construction on Las Vegas Boulevard, expected to be completed by early 2016,” Mayo notes. “It long has been speculated that Mayweather-Pacquiao would be an ideal fit for the new venue, which would seat about 4,000 more for boxing than MGM Grand Garden Arena, where Mayweather has fought exclusively since 2007.”

completely ingoring the point that the author was arguing that the new stadium was likely a reason why Arum was again dragging his feet, not Floyd. lol

Nice to bump into semantics... in a Floyd-related thread...
... Eventually, someone should explain that dude about many steps semantics, textualism, the vanishing of the sense within the significants' chain, a.s.o.
... He really deserves some Umberto Eco (or at least Tsvetan Todorov) lessens.

The fact that Arum has Pacquiao parroting that 60/40 has been agreed to, while Stephen Espinoza has argued that terms are still being negotiated and Haymon, Moonves, the point person at HBO, Hershman, etc are all keeping quiet, the only real conclusion to draw is that things are still being discussed.

Floyd took 25/75 and Oscar's choice of gloves, among other terms, to make the fight.

Floyd wants to fight Manny; Manny wants to fight Floyd. Even if comes to 70/30, if Pacquiao really "fight for the fans", he'll push Arum to accept the terms on the table, rather than working to spin the press.
Why stop at 70/30? 95/5 will not be a problem if Pac really wants the fight.

you compare Oscar vs Floyd negotiation to Floyd vs Pac? Floyd fans logic

and Mayweather being a network free agent in 2016 being a reason why HBO might be dragging their feet in current negotiations.

Even 50 Cent said that Floyd isn't a smart business because he's too concerned about what the other fighter is making instead of himself doughhhhhhhh... come one FIomos, smarten up, 50 Cent is a Black man saying this, so race card not acceptable

Wow, now FIomos agree that the outdoor stadium was a legit excuse who knew ROFL...

FIomos love any excuse not to make the fight as long as the excuse is applied to the current negotiations... afterwards they'll use it to blame Arum...

I still have my fingers crossed for this one.

At least Manny is now saying blood testing is NO longer an issue Pacsters. Strange, I wonder what happened to his debilitating weakness he had as a condition previously? Or as said before both Fighters wanted to try and build the fight to the right time\value.

Am I really supposed to believe a guy who said this isn't ducking?

Floyd Joy (joy is a synonym for gay btw so pause) Mayweather: "So it doesn't matter who I fight. I can fight two dudes; at the end of the day..."

If he doesn't fight Pacquiao in May, we will know the answer to both questions
Unless I missed something Khan still has his exclusive deal with Showtime, while also just agreeing to a deal with Sky Sports in the UK.

You add that Khan will likely command near all of the UK money (Arum's relationship with BoxNation will complicate those talks too) and want a significant chunk of the US money too makes the ideas of those negotiations just as spotty as the talks for a fifth Marquez fight.

Pacquiao could fight Khan, whether Arum allows that fight to happen (with Khan having capable management on his side and the prospect the massive Wembley fight with Kell Brook, I doubt that he'd be all that desperate to bend either) is the real question.
