The terms came from his camp. Pac agreed to all of it, which I think he didn't expect Pac to agree to it.
Pac agreed to his road blocks and now..
Checkmate.

In a case like this, where Top Rank and Manny have agreed to terms that Floyds team are happy with, then why does it matter if Manny isn't his own boss? I beg someone that thinks it matters to tell me why in this case does it matter?
Who is his own boss in this game? And more to the point, who was their own boss that Floyd usually fights? Come on man, ton of respect for Floyd but I am sick of this ****.
This, this is THE fight we want, people are negotiating and agreeing on both sides. Why does the fact that Manny is contractually obliged to a promoter matter in a case where people are coming to agreements elsewhere?
Mayweather - quit your career in boxing, you're in the wrong field. And his fans and followers, they're in the idolatry business...
I like both fighters (in the ring) when they compete but heck these measurebators and power-plays...are games for the mob, not boxing.

Is Pacquiao ten times the star Maidana is? I don't think so, and the case gets even shakier once you start considering the amount of business, or lack there of, that Pacquiao has done since walking away from $40m offer in 2012.
Mayweather had 'PPV flops' of ~900k buys; Pacquiao did maybe 350k PPV buys for the Algieri fight, 400k PPV buys for the Rios fight, and around 750k PPV buys for the Bradley rematch, with the likelihood that Pacquiao-Vargas, the fight that Arum has been hinting is the Plan B, likely to do 300k PPV buys.
the quick acceptance of a 60/40 split of the take makes absolutely no sense, especially when considering how quietly such a decision was made and how big a factor the purse split was in prior talks.

I sometimes question the intelligence of some of these members, which is why I have a handful of replies on this forum. But that statement warranted an instant reply!
