In my opinion he was never seriously hurt, unlike vs Sanders. And if we say he was hurt bad then he still survived to win clear and had Peter rocked in the 12th. Wlad did extremely well in that fight given the loss to Brewster and everybody saying he was done. Steward takes a lot of credit also.

IMO Wlads chin is indeed weak. This was brought out early in his career. Then he hooked up with Manny and developed a style that put that beard at a minimum risk.

wlad walked right into a straight left from pulev who I agree isnt a big puncher but he is a 240 lb heavyweight. anyone over 200 lbs can hurt you espescially if you get caught walking in. wlads chin obviously isnt granite but its certainly not glass either or he wouldnt have achieved what he has achieved. the poll is accurate imo. some of you hating morons just seriously lack boxing iq

His chin is glass, he uses illegal tactics to drain his opponent of energy and neutralize their inside fighting. His height make him hard to punch, the angle at which you must throw that punch that high is hard to both land and gain power as you must be within a reachable distance.

He holds and lays his 250lb body on the opponent, which in turn drains them of both energy and punching power. The fact that he's forced to this against the garbage that is the HW division is pretty sad. Shows how untalented he is. At least when guys like Hopkins are holding they're fighting world class competition, not Wlad though.

Being able to take a punch is the MOST important attribute for a boxer. Without a doubt Grabimir has one of the WEAKEST chins of any HW champion in history. This among other reason why Grabimir can't beat 37 year old retirees, has to lean and hold over mediocre opponents and why he is such a weak H2H fighter.

He couldn't survive the punches from the obese south african retiree golfer and ran away from the rematch so the better brother could take revenge.
He has only made it this long because of the terrible era he is fighting in and the refs in Germany allow him to hug onto to his opponents.
