Comments Thread For: Ariza Gives His Take on Mayweather-Pacquiao Talks

ALEX Ariza, the former strength and conditioning coach of Manny Pacquiao and who is now working with Floyd Mayweather Jr., doesn’t share the optimism of the Filipino ring icon that the mega-buck fight between the Fighter of the Decade and the undefeated pound-for-pound king will take place.

In an overseas telephone conversation with krikya360.com/Manila Standard/Viva Sports, Ariza said he had relocated to Las Vegas because Mayweather lives there, but that the undefeated champion hasn’t even started training for his next fight.

I wish Koncz and Arum would just fck off , too many people on the inside of Team Pac are saying those 2 have derailed the fight all the way , first Mannys lawyer , Ariza and Roach .

Manny should promote himself at this point of his career but the idiot signed back with the **** .

That f_cker should stick to his job as a conditioning coach, give Arum a 30 days ultimatum and telling him that he'll get another promoter? Does he even have any clue on what he is saying? Yeah go ahead Manny dish Arum and get a new promoter so that you'll get sue for not completing your contract with TR. Other nationality won't understand what loyalty is all about. Do I agree with it? Hell no. But that's Manny's decision and so far he's still making millions of money fighting nobodies. He's on the twilight of his illustrious
career and if you bozos think he'll jeopardize his health fighting a much bigger, younger, and hit harder than his previous opponents? You don't know **** about boxing then. His style of fighting is not suited for a long haul of mixing it up with much younger and stronger opponents, get real Azz wipes.

I have to agree with Pac pressing Arum with the deadline ultimatum but the man is in a binding contract, so Pac has no leverage at all regarding his (in reality, arums) career.
If Pac was smart he woulda walked or, at the very least, had Arum agree to his terms instead of the otherway around. A "clause" that wpuld grant Pac liberty to seek out a bout(s) that Arum wasnt able to secure for him.

                    But nope.
