he avoided kovalev because he knew he would be brutally koed and lose all of his drawing power. sure, he maximised his earnings, but he had to duck kovalev to do it. "ducking" simply means avoiding a fighter because you are uncertain of your ability to beat him. now that he has no choice but to face kovalev or be stripped of his title (the only thing keeping him relevant at this point) he's willing to man up and take his beating. i guess he has one foot out of the door already.

stevenson wanted to get some cheese in his pocket before facing Kov i dont understand how this isnt understandable to people here... it makes sense for his personal well being, hes old and doesnt have a long career ahead of him i think he loses to kolv tho but if he lands clean he can end it
