However he won't concede the date for a Mayweather/Khan fight. Nothing really complicated about it. People just like to argue anything Floyd/Pacquiao related.

This boy should be happy he even gets 40million, the boy still got Marquez problems.
never in the history of the sport has the Bside dictated when the fight would be. how anyone could side with this Arum character is beyond me

That would be OK but he been fighting May and September this long, that is not going to change for a guy that is not even a Draw Yet in Boxing and who PPV Events both Turned up AVERAGE NUMBERS!
Canelo can WAIT! If he wanted those dates bad enough...ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS BEAT MAYWEATHER, WHICH HE COULDN'T DO!

Canelo had his chance and lost so why does he get to just take it over? It can't be because he beat Floyd, because he didn't. Do you think Canelo is a bigger draw than Floyd, is that why he gets that date? Or is it just because he's Mexican?
If he gets that date just because he's Mexican, why does he need Cotto's drawing power to bump Floyd? Canelo is the bigger draw than Cotto according to you, so he should be able to bump Floyd with just about anyone shouldn't he?
The fact is as simple as this. Your boy had a chance to take that May date over, he got absolutely embarrassed in the ring. His diva attitude can't comes to grip with the fact that he lost and that ruined getting that "day" for him. Canelo is fine fighting on Floyds undercard the rest of his career as long as he fights in May, it seems to be all he cares about.

Again, if May/Pac gets done for May 2nd, Canelo is willing to concede the date.
However if that fight doesn't get made, then he's willing to challenge Mayweather and Showtime for the date.
Nothing to do with pride or anything else, it's about money. The date generates money. Hence the reason Mayweather likes to fight on these dates, he knows it's the time a lot of people tune in to boxing. Canelo doesn't want it because he's Mexican, he wants it because it will give him the best chance to make $$$$$
Everyone seems to be able to understand it but you. You just hate Canelo, and it's obvious from your first post.Last edited by JJRod; 12-23-2014, 12:43 PM.
