so why is he being accused of breaking the ali act?

what the hell does that have to do with having a media blackout policy?

i agree with op partly. while haymon may be a bit shady, he is only an adviwsor. the accusations of ali act violations has nothing to do with that since its not proven and he isnt convicted of anything. now with that said, explanations for certain decisions should be given. i definitely agree with that. but it should come from the fighter. if it comes from advisor, he just admits that hes the boss and hes telling the fighter what to do. adsivor should be giving advice but in the end, its the fighter to say ok do it.

whatever the truth about haymon and his clients may be, the supposed truth is hes an advisor, he says what he thinks is the best course of action for his client, and his client will make the decision to go with that. and all boxers and advisors will maintain that supposed truth of boxers = boss.

suddenly when people start to question him??????

what the hell do i get now?

          "ohh he's just a manager"
          "ohh he's just advises them"

          GTFO.

They're probably negotiating a fight with Khan coz if that does not happen, Floyd would rather go to jail than fight Pacquiao.

If no Pacquiao Mayweather im done with PPV but will be happy that Floyd will be labeled as a coward in boxing Hall of Fame forever.

            #fightpacquiao

            COWARD!

Haymon is hiding. Don't know why. He must have many shady things to hide. It's obvious.

Well you do raise a good point. But I don't know how secretive he really is given that he must be talking to his clients in some capacity...I would hope these dudes aren't just signing without talking to him face-to-face. I spotted him a couple years back before at a Mayweather weigh-in just milling around, shaking hands talking to other boxing people, officials, etc. [I tried to snap a picture for NSB when I saw him, but I had a crappy phone and the pics looked like ****]

Anyway back to the topic - it's a relevant question I think. He is making all sorts of moves and I'd love to hear what his vision is from his mouth. But then again, I don't hear or see that many other boxing managers all that much either so IDK

"his client will make the decision to go with that."

Look up a standard Al Haymon contract that all of his boxers agree to and you will see clause 4C:

"During the Term of this Agreement, ATHLETE agrees to render services solely and exclusively for ADVISOR and agrees that he will not take part in or negotiate for any professional boxing contests whatsoever without obtaining the written approval of ADVISOR"

So either you fight who Al tells you to fight or you get sued. Now how is that the client making the decision?
