The world title situation with Omar Figueroa (24-0-1, 18KOs) is still being worked out by the World Boxing Council.

Figueroa suffered a severe cut during his August TKO win over Daniel Estrada at the StubHub in Carson, California.

Because of his cut, and informing the WBC that he might move up in weight to 140-pounds, the sanctioning body made him the champion in-recess and vacated the title.
