Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Still on Course To Drop Down if No Mayweather

Unless a mega-fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. materializes, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38KOs) is still on course to drop down to 140-pounds in 2015.

Pacquiao has been fighting at 147-pounds against much bigger men since 2008. During that period, he actually went up to 150-pounds to beat Antonio Margarito for the WBC 154-pound title and took one trip down to 140, to beat Ricky Hatton for the IBO title.

why is pacquiao dropping down when all the name guys at 140 are going to be to 147?

its almost as if he is dropping down just to avoid all the threats moving up and trying to hide by fighting 135 pounders going up.

      shady shady move.

he might as well fake retire like floyd did when he beat hatton to avoid a hot 147lb division cuz that's what this move smells like.

If he fights Danny Garcia, thats better than anyone in the welterweight division other than Mayweather

Because to make fights exciting, that is where most of the current exciting fighters are. Walter went to **** when Mayweather refused to fight Manny and won't happen because he has no balls.

at least he's finally admitting he can't hang with the big boys..vacate the wbo 147 title and let real welterweights fight for it.

This whole time, Mayweather has been scared about his health against a guy who wasn't even a real welter weight lol
