Another notch on the great legacy of Joe Cazaghe.
Uh no he got hit low, You assume he faked it along with other people yet you have zero proof. In fact why would you even think Hopkins need to take a knee vs calslappy the most mediocre puncher in history and not against kovalev? It goes against all logic. It's just calslappy fans trying to justify his terrible performance and obvious gift decision. You guys need something to cling to.

Calzaghe is the "most mediocre puncher in history" but an open palm graze on Hopkins belt-line caused him to be lay on the canvas for 5 minutes in agony?

Hopkins went down another time in the fight too. He couldn't keep up with the pace and gassed out. So he took a knee and quit. That's a stoppage.

        Incredible feat by Sir Joe!

That is why Hopkins kept his offense low and his defense tight most of the fight. When he finally opened up, he got pummeled. That second half of the 12th round had me cringing. It is never good for any fighter, to take a hammering like that after a long tiring fight. It is dangerous, and him being 49 years old, compounds that issue even more.

I am just glad he got out of it OK.

I would put Mosley in that category as well even though his last fight against Mundine was stopped because of back spasms, it was technically a stoppage.

Britton's record says that he lost his 3rd pro fight by KO in the 1st round. It was back in 1905... (the newspapers don't keep track of that fight).

you gotta give major respect to hopkins for just being a professional boxer at his age let alone getting in with a killer lightheavyweight.

                    true legend. bona fide atg.

I believe he was genuinely hurt with a body shot by Calzaghe and pretended it was a low blow. It's clear to see if you watch it back.
