Hopkins tasted his power in the first round and decided to spend the night trying not to get knocked out, it was pretty clear he was nervous about throwing any punches and only wanted to cover up, which he did . When he did decide to open up a bit he was hurt so settle down clown.

You clowns talked about how Hopkins would school him and anybody who doesn't agree doesn't know **** about boxing but it was the exact opposite, Hopkins didn't win a single round and now your all upset over it so you jump to the next one already saying "well he cant beat Ward", its seriously comical to read this stuff today. You sound like a bunch of whiny little *****es that got their feelings hurt and when you come with the excuses it just makes it even funnier.

Once you learn a little more about boxing you will realize that things don't always go as planned and maybe its not wise call people ****** who don't agree with your opinion of how a fight will play out because its you that could end up looking like a fool in the end. Congratulations todays your day fool.

aye, anyone who throws more than 10 punches per rd, are just mindless brawlers, the guys that stay in that 10-20 punch per rd range are master boxers, if they are athletic, and fight overly conservative, it's like god himself with a per of gloves on

alot of people can't seem to appreciate the skills it takes being an aggressive fighter who "constantly" stays in dangers way and still dominates and leaves each fight relatively clean

no, apperently it takes more skill doing what lara does which is limiting the exchanges and only being in punching range for 10 seconds out of the 3 minutes per round and barely winning rounds by a single punch because it's way too risky attempting any more of an assault

I definitely thought Hopkins controlled about 4 or 5 of the rounds with his distance and making Kovalev miss. If Hopkins was a little more active then i'd have no problem scoring the fight either way.
Ouch...Just don't know what to say here... Now this is what I call THE BOXING EXPERT!

I still fail to see what's so impressive, and Earth moving about beating a 50yr old man. Due to no fault of Kovalev's, the division is weak and a 50yr old is one of the top 2-3 guys at 75. So yes, he deserves credit for beating a top guy in his division. But please, stop acting like this was something special that we saw last night.

Kovalev definitely impressed me. He has more boxing skill than I anticipated. With that being said, he needs to work on keeping his hands up bc he keeps them low much of his fights. Somebody quick with good power could expose that. And also, give the old man credit, he made it through the fight haha. And you guys saying Kovalev was just holding back out of respect are full of shxt. Kovalev was trying to kill him with virtually every shot throughout the fight besides the good solid body work. He was even hitting after the bell and everything. Don't give me the he jus didn't want to KO him bs. Bhop jus made it out (barely).

The most obnoxious advocates of 'sweet science' on this forum, the ones who never stop denigrating fighters and telling others they 'dksab', are the same ones who wouldn't know distance control and punching technique if they were gang ****d by the Russian amateur team.

With all respect to Joe's great career - he never had a punch. Soft punching Joe. Also Joe's win over Bernard was now where as onesided as Kovalev's win.

But he's basically a crude stalker, with a lil skill, and power. He knows how to cut off the ring, but doesn't always do it. His footwork is awful and he's often off balanced, which is why he was dropped in his last fight. And to me, he appeared rattled and uncomfortable with the roughhouse tactics by Agnew in their fight. And that was child's play compared to what he's gonna see in a few weeks.
