Admirable finish from Hopkins. Not a bad way to go out! I got a sense of pride from it all, I could hang onto that as Bhop final ring memory.

Nice systematic, patient performance from Sergei.
I felt Hop was wrong about Kovalev from the beginning, especially in the athleticism department.
I think this fight showed how quick to recover Kov is..even at 49, B-Hop is still angular as hell but one of Sergei's qualities is that he is always balanced and in position to get full power; and even with long arms, his punches are some of the shortest in the game
Respects to both

I wouldn't be surprised if Hopkins fought for another world title against Adonis Stevenson.
A Kovalev-Stevenson fight is very hard fight to make and they both fight for 2 different networks where as Hopkins is not pinned down to neither HBO or Showtime.

This isn't the equivalent of Flag football. He got roughed up a bit and used his defense and survived the onslaught unlike others who end up on the floor.
Man up and stop playing a Boxer's white knight.

Haven't seen the fight yet but gee, what a surprising result!
Hopkins should have just signed out. At 49 years of age trying to take on a champion slugger like Kovalev was brave.
But also idiocy!
I'm surprised it went the distance. I would of thought Kovalev could have ****** him out in the first half of the fight.

I definitely thought Hopkins controlled about 4 or 5 of the rounds with his distance and making Kovalev miss. If Hopkins was a little more active then i'd have no problem scoring the fight either way.
