I'm not sure i'd pick anyone to beat Duran at Lightweight.
Lots of other good names in the 135/140 pool also..B.Leonard, Armstrong, Whitaker, Ortiz, Chavez, Pryor.

Maybe not 147, but 140 yes.

I'm drawing a blank right now, duran ever fight anyone who used the style/shell like Floyd?
No way I see Floyd beating Duran. Duran is a complete fighter, power in both hands, great defence while coming forward, he would out work Mayweather, possibly stop him late. I see it going down like Castillo vs FLoyd, but Floyd would also get countered all night on the inside, possible even hit the canvas, or even somethig like Duran/SRL

You can't say Floyd would do this or that, simply because Duran fought in a level of competition miles completely above Floyds, it's laughable to say because he did this to guys like Corrales/Boldamir/Hatton/Mosley he would be succesfull. Might as well say Garry Russel Jr would beat ATG's from the way he was destroying TBA's. Talent is there, but we dont know how good the fighter actually is until he fights another great fighter.

Now if it wasnt a weight thing and Manny really did beat Cotto the man , then he wouldnt demand another CW after calling Cotto out , when Cotto says sure thing but no CW , Manny runs away GTFOH !

Look at the big picture and todays picture its showing more than ever , the only guys Manny has hurt were fighters with a lowering CW , everybody else with a CW that increased their weight went the distance or knocked him out .

Its not hard to see what has gone on , hindsight is 20/20 vision , no fighter in history has had as many CWs as Manny .
u know he was a welterweight for 3 years before 154lbs.... food for thought

              "waaahhhhh....but...BUT Coralles was drained!!!"

So drained, in fact, that he went back to the weight after this fight, and continued to fight there.

Some of you will do anything, anything at all, just to hate.

I keep on reading that "John is .... " but it seems like
"John doesn't want to know the truth and is making excuses to protect his hero Floyd".

Everyone knows that Diego was severely drained. There is a ton of proof.

As for coming back down to fight Casamayor. Well, same reason he tried with Floyd. Diego had a chance at a title and took it. Even in those fights with Casamayor, Diego was knocked down 3 times! After that chance, Diego moved up for good.

If you look at Diego's career in those lower divisions, he always struggled with weight.

Corrales was sapped of energy ... came in 2lbs over at weigh in.

Corrales' lethargic appearance might have been because he was sapped of strength before the fight ever started. He weighed in two pounds over the 130-pound limit on Friday and was forced to sweat the extra baggage in a 90-minute sauna session.

Nice excuse. You use different logic for Floyd and Manny. You didn't have a comeback because I exposed that your logic is flawed.

Nope, he doesn't. plenty of guys beat him at 130 alone.
