    That's true.

The historians and people that actually matter always rank him appropriately.

Of course the NSB experts disagree

It is rigged... how is Danny Garcia not number 1 on the list after beating Rob Salsa?

floyd and chavez sr are wayyyy too high. floyd is more in top 30-40. if floyd is 12 then pac should be top 5. pac has the better resume, accomplished far more, more exciting, etc.

and where is wlad or vitali kltschko?

seems like this is a biased american list.

Pac should be way higher.. from 06-11 he was unbeatable and has more skill than Chavez Jr and Duran... Pac after he fought De La Hoya would be a favorite going in against the same Sugar Ray Leonard who fought Hearns..believe that..

Roy Jones up to moving up to fight at Heavyweight..was amazing too... I think he's underrated and I'll always feel that way...

Well, Hatton is 1-1 at WW and he was undefeated at 140 when fought Manny.

Morales got completely dominated by zahir raheem. Manny beast the same eric that danny Garcia did. You want to treat Morales like he was prime. again, you have to try and be fair and unbiased.

Manny beat the same Morales that Garcia beat... I think you admit you were being facetious with that comment. Morales lost one fight to a slick boxer after just beating Manny..he wasn't shot..but wasn't at the peak of his prime either.. (Floyd never fought Morales but reasonably could have dropped down in weight to try to make the fight btw)

SHane was farbetter when Floyd fought him. he was the #1 ww in the world. he was a top 5 p4p fighter. Manny didn't fight that guy, he fought the one Floyd defeated. again, you can't keep skewing things just to make manny seem better.

Shane was shot.. by the time Shane fought Floyd so much time had elapsed from the Margarito fight.. and Shane was 39..

The weight for the clottey/cotto fight isn't factored into the manny/cotto fight in any way, even you know this. Its only about the fight-and no matter how you cut it, Manny beat a 145 lb cotto, not a 147lb cotto. Yes, he beat him before Floyd did.

Cotto accepted the fight..stop crying about catch weights when Floyd does it himself and doesn't even make the contracted catch weight all of the time either...(see Marquez and Canelo)

at what point do you try and be fair and just judge manny with the same criteria you do every other fighter?
        [/QUOTE]

All you've done is prove my point-you just want the rankings to reflect your opinions, you don't want to evaluate everyone with the same criteria as the Ring did.

The only criteria you are using is your disdain for Floyd. Man, you need to let it go and be an adult.

you can't have guys like floyd, chavez sr and rocky marciano above manny. no way.

pac's resume and achievements >>>> floyd's resume and achievements

Many of the NSB "experts" are the same clowns who say Floyd is TBE but can't name one legit win against a Hall of Famer in his prime...

Cos having Oscar isn't promoting any fights in which he himself is featured. It's about as obvious as that. Putting on your objective hat, you'r telling me that in the lats 70 odd years, Mayweather is top 20...come on now. But he's not the only one up there, Jones? **** off...Ike Friggin Williams? Give me a break

In your mind they are, in the real world, you have to factor in wins and losses and when you fought the opponent. You have to use the same criteria, not "I luv manny" and "I hate Floyd"

What criteria did Ring use for this ranking? Was level of opposition faced a criterion? If it was, then Floyd is ranked too high...

                      pacquiao

                      - 7 weight world champion (first to do this)
                      - 4 weight lineal champ (first to do this)
                      - BWAA, WBC, WBO, fighter of the decade 2000-2009
                      - named ring fighter of the year 3 times
                      - wins over future hof'ers barrera, morales, marquez, cotto, oscar, etc.

this is far better than floyd. all floyd has is his undefeated record.
