After what I saw tonight and I think Manny KO's Mayweather it might even be "easywork" lol
I have never thought Manny could KO Floyd because of his defense but now IDK.

The whole fight a clinchfest with Bayless stopping the action, not even letting them fight out of the clinch. I saw Bayless work more than either fighter tonight. No one impressed tonight.

I didn't say anything about the card being good or even the fight being good. From a strictly winning perspective Floyd did what it took to make it easy to defuse Maidana. Either you can see that or you can not, I didn't say you had to like or enjoy his methods or even approve of them.


It was not all Bayless though, even Bayless made the whole plan more effective but it was still going to work because how often does clinching ever get penalized. At this point the way boxing is called if you don't use clinching or know how to deal with it in an effective manner you are fighting with one foot in a bucket.

Easy fight. People complaining about holding because of paulie. A smart boxer grabs an aggressive fighter to disprupt his forward momentum.

And a competent official either:


A.) Allows the fighters to work their way out of the clinch.


B.) Warns for an infraction of the rules and and deducts points if said infraction continues.


Personally, I find the first option to be a much better one, but Bayless did a miserable job either way.

Floyd ain't fighting Pacquiao. In a separate recent interview from ESPN he already laid out a new demand and said the fight has to be under Mayweather Promotions banner, and show only at Showtime. Total deal breaker.

LOL more Floyd-hypocrisy. Vlad clinches you complain, Floyd does it and it's OK. Clinching is illegal, you do realize that right? If Floyd clinched that much in Fight Night, he would have been DQd. Floyd obviously did need to clinch or else he wouldn't have done it.

The only thing we saw tonight was Bayless breaking them apart. He even broke them apart when they weren't touching eachother. And Bayless defused Maidana by not letting him work his freehand, that was all Bayless, and seperating them in a clinch. IF Maidana was allowed to work, like most refs allow, then the clinching would've turned into inside fighting.

Floyd adjusted in the first fight, Bayless fought Maidana more than FLoyd on this one.
