      Is that good enough?

Sure it would . Example: I will give you the Fight that Defined Cassius Clay in the 60's , answer SONNY LISTON

Example : Which fights defined M. ALI in the 70's : Could be Foreman in some eyes and they may be right. More than that would be JOE FRAZIER

These were PRIME Heavyweight ELITES at the time they fought.

If you gave these answers concerning Clay/Ali then I would certainly agree.

Do the same for May Jr,,, don't name has beens or those Jr cheated on , but name PRIME ELITES of their day.

Is the fact that Mayweather has not been in a fight that as you say defined him, because no one is actually on his level? But if you're looking for a fight we could easily say the fight with Diego, or DLH, maybe the boxing lesson he put on Canelo.

This would be a pretty on point reply.

Th fighters that Floyd persued while in their primes which could've been defining fights, either weren't ready, were protected by their promoters, or had tooth aches they needed to take care of.

            .

Floyd would have eventually met Margacheato in a ring if Margawraps would've claimed the welterweight throne and not gotten busted.

In interviews, Cotto would be asked about facing Floyd and he claimed "it would be up to my promoter" who was protecting his best interest$.

He is finally standing up for himself! He needs to call out Floyd's ducking more often and in more public settings, like press conferences. That should put a little more pressure on Floyd. He needs to know that real boxing fans won't accept protecting records by avoiding top competition.

Its kind of hard to call someone out for ducking when you are the guy that refused the fight twice.
