Comments Thread For: Roach Confident Pacquiao Will Pass Algieri's Jab

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is not overly concerned with the biggest weapon in the arsenal of Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KOs). Algieri has a very good jab, but Roach believes WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38KOs) will have very few issues dealing with it. Algieri, the WBO's champion at 140-pounds, will challenge Pacquiao on November 22nd in an HBO Pay-Per-View headliner from Macau, China.

Was Ruslan all that bothered... or did he easily get by it most of the time but just not throw punches when he got close?

He won't have to get past it. He'll just counter it with the left all night.

Algieri have the toughness, speed and movement to make Pac look really bad here. Style make fights and Algieri will lose but he will make Pac look bad, unless Pac KHTFO ala Hatton or something!

Alvarado beat Herrera, who beat Garcia. He also beat Prescott, who beat Khan. I'd say beating the guy who beat Alvarado is pretty good.

Don't dare play that game with Mayweather's opponents doe. Larry might have to pull corrupt ass WBC rankings out on you.
