A Maidana KO is possible but I think Mayweather gives something away in his commentary here, something I've noted for a while. And that is...he's not going to move as much as you think. He can't, actually, and he's smart enough to know that. In order to beat Maidana, Mayweather will have to fight smart in the trenches and off the ropes, a la Nelson-Fenech II or Toney-Jirov.

Some people posting in this thread need to get hit by a person wearing Grants. Just because they're called pillows doesn't mean they actually are.
Saying that Maidana only has world class power when wearing a particular brand of glove is pretty damned disrespectful. Unfamiliarity with the glove I could understand, but saying that the glove completely takes his ability to knock a person out is just heinous.

How about this, learn how to score fights then were can discuss the outcome of a fight.
Better yet, form an opinion based off facts and not revisionist history.
Maidana was competitive and fought his heart out, if the fight played out the way it did and it wasn't Mayweather, Maidana would have still lost.
Fights are scored round by round and there is no way you can justify giving Maidana 7 rounds when he barely won 4....stop reaching and learn more about boxing

You're talking about a guy that regularly is seen running miles and miles in Vegas and outside of Vegas. His father also said that he would be moving more, but not all the time. Keep in mind that the Guerrero fight was just a year ago, and you saw how well he moved there whenever he wanted. Let's not act like that fight was 5 years ago.
Floyd may stick and move rds 10-12 if he has a substantial lead. But I don't expect to see what we saw in 2013.

I'd be shocked if he is able to move more and maintain it. I believe that while he will move some (and give the impression early on that moving more is his plan), they'll be working on in-fighting, particularly off the ropes as that is the only way he'll be able to damage Maidana's head and body and back him off, possibly even stop him.

Oh, that's right. Maidana needed the light, custom, Everlast, no padding, gloves to win.
Silly me.
