If you read my first post I said I didn***8217;t believe the story Sergio gave about his knee being good but he went and got a medical assessment and it was determined by a medical specialist and a medical doctor that his knees were fine. what he said was what he said we all have are opinion of what happen and the only one that can tell you is Sergio to me I saw a health Sergio at the start of the 1 round and then he got knocked on the side of the head and was never the same ( this isn***8217;t the only time this has happened to him either Chavez Jr. did the same in the 12th of their fight) was his knees fed to me the doc said no Sergio said no and his team said no. now do you think they paid the doctor to falsify a hospital assessment just to save face and " take it like a man" or persuade him to say his knees are OK???
As far as being a ***8220;doctor to understand the definition of an MRI***8221; no you don***8217;t have to be a doctor but it is apparent that you can***8217;t understand what a medical assessment from a medical doctor stating that Sergio***8217;s knees were good is so I do question your ability to comprehend what a definition of an MRI is...
Cotto fans Lack common sense?? Ok first it was a fight that Sergio thought he had in the bag and most fan thought the same (I thought that it was a 60/40 for Sergio I and so many were wrong). Sergio fan and haters at the time weren***8217;t talking about the common sense that Sergio just had knee surgery (only a select few did talk about his knees) and he was out for over a 1yr what most saw was Sergio is going to add Cotto***8217;s name to his resume in a fashionable KO when that didn***8217;t happen it was excuses after excuses if cotto lost the fight there would be no mention about Sergio***8217;s knees (even though he would still have the same knees he does now) the talk would be how Sergio is so great and he will probably fight GGG or Canelo.
The real common sense that most can agree on is that we will never know if Sergio***8217;s knees were fine we will only be able to speculate. The only way to know for sure is if sergio comes out and says something was wrong later on or when he fights again and we can gauge how he move and then we will be able to tell if it was the knees or if it was the combination of Cotto***8217;s punch to the side of the head and the year plus layoff on top of the 3 knock down that put Sergio on wobbly legs for the rest of the fight. I really think it***8217;s the punch to the side + 1plus yr. layoff and 3 kd that did it not so much the legs. If it comes out that it***8217;s his leg then we will all know and I will stand corrected till then no offense but I***8217;ll take what the real doctor says and ill let you get back to diagnosing knee injuries from your computer.
And I for one think he lost the Murray fight and the 12th round with Chavez was his doomsday because thats when he sustained his injuries. The Murray fight was the beginning of the end for Sergio, he just won a hometown decision. Going into the Cotto, it was pretty much 50/50 if he was gonna be fully recovered from the knee injuries that he had.
You saw Sergio get hit with that "invisible" Cotto left hook? Hate to break it to you but Sergios been hit with stronger, bigger, middleweights before and didn't look like he was on a floor with marbles scattered afterwards. There was one spot in the fight were Sergio tried to move to his right and couldn't control his position to plant his foot and slipped. I guess that was because of the left hook he received in the first round def nothing to with the knee thats been operated on twice.
You can go consider yourself a real doctor all you want by knowing what an MRI is. Cong**** on that. Your homerism on to Cotto blinds you from what really took place which was a shot Sergio. Shame.Last edited by jcj0427; 07-25-2014, 06:56 PM.

Do you play any sports? I would love for you to tear your knee twice, get surgery, and then take up the sport again and tell me what its like. If you think its the same thing, then you are either very ignorant or very dumb. Take your pick. You bring a up a whole paragraph on how the doctor diagnosed him with this and that, etc and that the MRI shows no tear or fracture which then makes it "healthy" right? All cases are different, but lingering knee issues are sometimes the most brutal kind of injuries for athletes, ask Derrick Rose. Your too focused on the results of the MRI which diagnoses tear or no tear. Once again, you don't have to go to medical school for that. The underlying issue here is how will he react to sustaining workload (punching, getting punched) on the problem area (his knees). You can attribute it to Cottos punch all you want which is strictly a homer copout, but the reality is the man was hobling the whole fight due to, wait for it.....the knee thats been surgically operated on TWICE!

Cotto still won.
Props to Cotto for fighting Martinez at the right time, he picked the fruit when it was ripe but dont pretend that he fought a prime Martinez.
Cotto fanboys (im actually a cotto fan as well) are embarrassing themselves.
