I've been a fight fan long enough to remember that not to long ago, the champion/house fighter always picked the gloves because the commissions mandated that both fighters wear the same size and brand. So its all much-a-do about nothing IMHO.

This whole Glove issue has gotten real old and annoying . Cant they figure out another gimmick to hype up the fight !!

Ha, Floyd getting backed into a corner with his mouth. He won't take that offer, no way, no how. A chicken of his magnitude would never accept something on this level.

I really find the Floyd worshipers on here pretty disturbing lol... they even leave posts on here like... "Although I'm not a Floyd fan..." "Although I dislike Floyd..." always end up with some way to defend Floyd and act like he's perfect and "undefeated" (which he clearly is not - see the first Castillo fight).

Floyd worshipers: Anytime Floyd does something cowardly, they spin it as "Floyd is smart" lol

Not to mention Floyd fans are illogical and it's pointless to debate them... example:

Oscar chooses that he and Floyd must wear 10 oz. gloves instead 8 oz. gloves (they could only choose one glove weight) lol..but Floyd fans think Floyd should have gotten to wear 8 oz. and Oscar 10 oz lol..that would be fair to Floydiots...and Floyd beat Oscar even with an "unfair advantage"

Floyd makes Maidana wear pillows... Floyd is "smart". Oscar wasn't smart though lol. Oscar was a chicken for making Floyd wear 10 oz. gloves and not letting Floyd choose the glove weight lol..

Most Floyd fans are illogical anyway.. can't really debate fools in public.. and we all know why...

It's not a gimmick. The gloves scandal hurts the fight. A lot of people that I've read from won't order the fight because of it. You seem to be confusing a gimmick with Floyd being a coward and forcing his opponent to wear foamed gloves that will diminish his punching power...

I remember that a lot of things were so... does that mean we should continue to follow them and act like they are OK?

Slavery was legal also in the past... should slavery be OK now?

Who cares if something was OK in the past. Floyd is a coward who is trying to prevent a boxer from using approved gloves to gain an unfair advantage by diminishing Maidana's punching power...

Are you that much of a Floyd-worshiper and that insecure.. you won't admit it?

He won't let him wear those .. And floyd will seriously outbox him this time.. They fired aria to maximize profit because the first fight was in reality his onl chance to beat floyd

...what.?? ****** logic bro. Btw, Floyd is smart. Floyd could beat maidana with 30 oz gloves on, I'm sure the gloves have less to do with the strategy than the mental game. Floyd loves to get inside of the opposition heads and this is possibly the best he's done in all his years.

So you really believe Floyd didn't try to outbox him the first fight? Floyd was doing it for the fans lol?

You sound like another Floyd-worshiper who acts like Floyd is perfect... Floyd has already been beaten and if fights anyone with foot speed who is any good he will struggle... hence why he never fought Pacquiao... Maidana's foot speed is surprisingly better than I thought as he was better able to angle Floyd to the ropes than previous opponents. I think Maidana coming in at 170 was not a good move.. (even though I think he won the fight and did not worse than a draw) Maidana coming in lighter...will allow him to get to Floyd and angle him to the ropes... I see Floyd having the same trouble he had in the first fight..and possibly losing the fight and getting another gift decision..it's in Vegas after all

Actually, fighters can negotiate whatever size gloves they was. But those are merely trifling facts. Carry on.
