So you was not only in a **** ERA but you did not even fight everybody in that weak ERA? I understand the Margarito thing and why that never happened and why the Cotto fight did not happen earlier because he left Top Rank to go fight Oscar which was the right move.

But their are other fights he could have taken but didn't that a lot of his haters are not even aware up like: Winky Wright, Vernon Forrest, Paul Williams...I don't consider none of these "DUCKS" but it would have been nice on his resume and would have helped his argument of being TBE

I don't even consider him not fighting Top Rank Fighters "DUCKING" because Arum is the one that stopped those from happening. Proof of this is the fact that as soon as Cotto left Top Rank why is it that his first fight away from Top Rank was vs Mayweather? Arum is a stubborn old man who hold grudges, he held a grudge against Oscar and Mayweather after they left Top Rank. Reason why Mayweather left Top Rank is because Arum did not want to make the Mayweather vs De La Hoya fight because he was holding a grudge against Oscar for leaving Top Rank and they was in the middle of a Lawsuit if I remember correctly.
I dont know about all of that, all I said was that his skills cant be denied.

don't think Floyd's skills set is the best...

they just have made very good match making along the way...

a skills set is best tested by the level of adversaries...

it is Floyd who deprived himself the chances to showcase his talents...

by not fighting the bests of this era...

I will take the skills set of ali any time of the day...

with a little drop of health comes first....he he he

I agree with what you are saying here. How many time have we seen a fighter on his way to the top and thought "This guy is the next great" only to be proven wrong when he steps up his level of opposition? A fighter's ability is only truly revealed when he faces other greats. Hence, Ali showed his greatness against Frazier, Foreman, etc. and Leonard against Hearns, Duran.

Boxing isn't an art; it's a sport where you prove you're worth through who you beat.

People need to chill out. Along with Floyd's arrogant ass. I don't blame Floyd or Pac for not making the fight happen a few years back but Floyd acts as though we owe him the respect as if he has already beaten Pac. There is too many inconsistencies with Floyds resume with fighting guys who are far past prime or fighting easier opposition. I don't blame Floyd for not fighting a prime mosley, De la Hoya, Gatti, Cotto, or anyone else for that matter along with not fighting guys like Pac, Williams, and margarito. His career and rise to prominence at welterweight was just at a bad time. I do for that matter not give Floyd the respect as if he did beat all these guys in their prime because he thinks we owe him that kind of respect because he did the best he could since he moved to welterweight. Sorry Floyd proof is in the pudding and your resume is not as impressive as you'd like people to think. Anyone who thinks Floyd is ****in "TBE" is an idiot. No ***** handed, defensive fighter who merely out points his opponents to narrow a descision will ever be "TBE".

How was his rise at welter at a bad time? He had undefeated Cotto, beast in Margarito, Paul Williams who nobody wanted to fight, and Manny at 140 demolishing Hatton and Cotto at a catch weight. He retired instead of facing any of them. That's all you need to know about the so called Best Ever.
