but a runner like algieri poses more problems for pac...who has difficulties cutting the ring
floyd when he stands to trade is where pac can possibly do more work..

Originally posted by FeFist View PostI actually think this has all the makings of a barn burner. Algeiri has a pretty strong and timely degree that'll surely pose all kinds of problems for Pacquiao. His masters is pretty strong too; when paired with his niceness I can see him stopping Pacquiao at any time.

i can admire that...
but at the same time you are saying pac is fighting a not so credible opponent...
how's that?
so, who should pac fight?
There are at least 5 people I can think of that are better opponents and would provide more credibility than Algieri at this stage of the game.

If Maidana isn't/wasn't a credible match up for Floyd then Algieri doesn't belong in the same country as Pac.

The point of the matter is that Floyd is taking fights that will bring the most money (barring Pacquiao, that's another story). That leaves Maidana based on the hype from the last fight, Cotto and Canelo II. Pacquiao is getting criticism for these fights Bob Arum is force feeding him. Algeri's resume is crap and Arum's banking on the buzz carrying over from his win against Ruslan. I'm sick of it all.

BUT
if Floyd is expected to reach out and make a fight with Pac (toprank fighter) we should hold Pac to the same standards and expect him to make fights with GBP fighters.
The lack of consistent opinions is what makes the fight lack credibility. I'm sure if I peruse your post history I will find posts where you claim Floyd is ducking Pac, but by the same logic the inability for Pac to make fights with GBP fighters should mean he is ducking the whole GBP stable.
Now I don't agree with this at all, but you have to realize that by stating one thing explicitly you imply the opposite idea on the other spectrum.
