My avi fits this thread like a glove, as long as its not an MX horsehair glove.

difference being Marcos is a blatantly dirty fighter. If a ref constantly notices someone fouling, then he should do his job and deduct a point or two

this rematch will have a ref with less tolerance. I expect Marcos to keep it cleaner and/or lose at least a point or two for his blatant fouls

Floyd can elbow, use his forearms and clinch all he wants, it's veteran tactics when he does it. Blatant cheating when anyone else does it.

They both were using veteran or dirty tactics. One fighter is just more blatant then the other.

Flod is also to blame for this rough tactics . The way he moves when he is against the ropes he tilts his head forward and when Chino was letting his hands go that was the only place his punches where going to land. Same thing when Chino was going to the body Floyd would try to block those punches with his elbow making Chinos punches land low. I'm not trying to defend Chino because he is a rough fighter but so is Floyd except Floyd knows how to hide well. Floyd and Hopkins are masters of being dirty and when his opponent retaliates they know how to sell it well to the ref. Barrera in my opinion was the king of rough tactics, he was one bad motherfvker. He hid it so well that for the most part of his career no one ever noticed

Difference is maidana bases his style off of dirty fighting. He's just that type of fighter. I dont mind it at all I like it, old school. But for him to say he's not dirty. Lol. That's denial.

Yeah they're both dirty but so what? They cancel each other out. The only time I have a problem with cheating is when there is an unfair advantage - like when one guy is cheating and the other is playing by the rules. Neither Floyd nor Maidana have gotten themselves disqualified so....maybe it isn't cheating unless you get caught.

Not all fouls are the same.

Clinching is one thing, biting your opponent's ear another.

Mayweather is dirty, but he knows what he can get away with. Some pushing, some clinching, using his elbow to create distance etc.

He's not blatantly damaging his opponent, he is subtle. You have to pay attention to notice it.

Maidana on the other hand was blatantly fouling, and normally you can't get away with it.

The whole world saw him throw a knee , shove Floyd against the ropes. In my opinion he was very lucky to get away with it.

The whole knee thing is so blown out of proportion. The only blatant fouls were a couple of low blows. Nothing we havent seen multiple times.
