Myself, the crowd and most importantly, the boxing experts ringside don't agree with that. Everyone knows Vitali was winning and Lewis was lucky to escape with a win. In fact, it was quoted that way.

    Keep dreaming buddy, keep dreaming.

Vitali stormed in and kicked off the Klitschko era that still goes on strong today.

Like it or hate it but you can't do sh@t about it and it makes me smile inside and out.
I don't agree, and not simply because i'm a Lewis fan.

I don't see how Lewis was 'lucky'. He landed a straight right that caused the cut and then went to work on it over several rounds. I also disagree with the notion that Vitali was 'dominating'. He was only up two rounds and, like Lewis, looked shattered as he took to his stool at the end of rounds 5 and 6.

Being a better fighter and having a better resume are vastly different things. Marciano has a better resume than Lennox but do you think that he could beat him H2H? I really shouldn't have to explain this to you and it gets on my nerves to be honest.

PRIME is based on many separate attributes, all of which contribute to the overall total package of a fighter.

WEIGHT happens to be an important factor FOR a fighter and confers certain benefits. Sure it can be a sign of a decline in athleticism that's true, but that's also accompanied by the benefits.

It's normal for boxers to gain weight as they age, that's actually the RULE.

It did not affect LL's overall performance from previous fights, that's the truth.

And let's say it did, he weighed in FIVE lbs more than usual and almost equal to a previous fight he had. That's not even worth mentioning at HW!

Honestly I think, If LL came in much lighter, he'd have been maybe knocked out!

          Puritty rematch was NOT worthwhile..

Brewster loss was ridiculous in the first place..

Everyone knows this... It's just slander now... Pick on the actual fights, but nobody can straight faced say that WK couldn't have avenged any of those rematches..

The only one even mentionable was Sanders for speculative purposes.
If they weren't worthwhile they wouldn't have fought them later.

That vitali did fight Purrity specifically hurts your argument.

            Again, its all 'what ifs'.

Lewis was grossly out of shape. There's no escaping that: it's a fact.

I can respect that as it is an opinion but I call it lucky like a lot of experts because Lewis didn't stop him, the ringside doctor did. Yes the fight ended on cuts but it's not as if Lennox' gameplan was to go in and stop him that way, making it kind of a luck out in my opinion.

The point being, Lennox did not prove to be a better fighter that night and that's why the rematch was in so high of a demand for HBO to offer Lennox a career high payday for a rematch.

                Actually that's silly...

VK fought the heftiest opponents on record of any boxer and overall they had better records or the same as Lennox's opponents. All of them were punchers practically or otherwise skilled.

It's a baseless statement except for 2 exceptions..

                The ATG's Holyfield and Tyson...

The Tyson Lennox beat was nothing special compared to many VK opponents.

Holyfield was good, sure, but there's no real evidence he was better than all of VK's opponents, THAT'S speculative.

Their ATG rating actually means nothing, only their actual effectiveness/dangerousness. And they were that! Except I dunno how special they were at the time LL fought them!

Vitali after the Chisora fight, "If Chisora was a bit faster, I would be in big trouble"

Vitali was **** scared of David fckin Gaye
That was just a classy Vitali paying a compliment to a sound competitor.

You're ******, flat out if you really think Vitali ducked Haye and it wasn't the other way around.
