I like Swift,he is a kind of rise to the occasion kinda guy.Herrara was simply a bad style match up,I honestly think Herrara wins 10 of 10 against Swift.he simply hadnt the answers against him.

I would like to reiterate again,I am a huge fan of his.you gotta be realistic though.

The Machine fight was a foty,you really don't wanna be involved in too many of those though,especially against a guy coined 'Machine' ffs !! I think it just goes to show the mental and physical toughness of Danny,nothing he really hit Lucas with really made him think imma quit,which makes me wonder can Danny succeed if he steps up,I mean its inevitable at this stage though,so I'm not gonna get too carried away,just hope he carries his power up and give s a good account of himself,which I know he will,he will be a titlist for sure,but he may end up being knocked out along the way.

Ok so danny doesn't ever deserve to win a close fight I guess. Garcia won the theophane fight by a point. A draw at worst. Stop saying he got a gift when a fight was that close. I had garcia-herrera a draw, but since hes the champ and in puerto rico and the main attraction he gets the decision I'm not mad about that it, could have gone either way. Another close fight.

The matthysse fight danny won that fight 8-4 or 7-5 + kd Danny clearly. I can't even see a draw tbh/ I mean how could you even say that was a robbery.

This fight with salka is to setup a peterson vs. danny garcia fight I mean how could you all be so ****ing blind and not see that, why else would they both be fighting on the same card against opponents they will definitely both beat (not even straight up tomato cans). It's the only logical explanation.

If garcia wins vs peterson he moves up to 147 as the undisputed unified champ at 140 with all the belts and bring all the bandwagoners with him making him a superstar. Peterson can fight for one of the vacant belts after garcia vacates or even move up to 147 himself. If peterson wins the fight garcia can move up and use the weight as an excuse for his loss and start fresh at 147 still being a big name with a decent fanbase. Peterson can make a defense or two and then rematch lucas for all the belts.

Why is this always thrown around to suit who a fan wanted to win? It was a clear cut win, competitive yet clear. No draw about it. Herrera won 8-4, 9-3 worst case. I am not saying it was a robbery just wondering why the scoring criteria suddenly changes.

Its like Burns vs Beltran. I don't care if the fights in Burns living room, he lost the fight, period! You gotta beat the champ yeah and also a bent referee and 3 paid off judges.

What is this about ''he landed the harder punches''? Where exactly is this a scoring criteria? You may as well not bother with judges in that case, if it goes to a decision just award it to the guy who hits harder. Its boxing not a measure of power and hilariously fans change their tune when its their fighter getting hit by a guy with superior power and all of a sudden clean, effective boxing comes into play.

Ruslan against Algieri, Garcia against Herrera, damn right they punch harder but they got outboxed, outlanded and was hit with the cleaner, scoring shots.
He hits harder but just about everything he threw was rolled with or partially blocked.
Herrera jabbed him to death, took his left hook away from him and backed his ass up.

I don't really care if they do meet, it doesn't justify this absolute farce of a card. 140lb lineal champion fighting a barely top 100 ranked lightweight who makes Paulie look like the second coming of Julian Jackson and some Ped user who is disgustingly still a world champion vs an unranked bum nobody even knew existed until today. They could have Garcia vs PEDerson and Santana vs Rod Stewart or whatever he is called on the undercard and it would still suck.

That still doesn't change the fact that Lucas Martin "The Machine" Matthysse was clearly beaten by Danny "Swift" Garcia. Get over it guys.

This is pretty much all that needs to be said. Anything else is clearly someone with an agenda. Yes, the Rod fight is embarrassing, but now people are trying to discredit his accomplishments. This is just sad.

Point is, these are showcase fights for 2 champions of the same weight class on the same card which almost always means they will fight each other next. As long as they fight each other next this card is fine imo.
