The reason I brought it up is because I had an American friend who lived in Buenos Aires for a couple of years. He said everything is ridiculously cheap, and that was in the city so it's just something to keep in mind.

The fight has done a lot for his career. It would have been nice if he got paid a little bit more, but ultimately the exposure he received, fighting on one of the highest stages in boxing, is worth a lot in and of itself.

Assuming I was a decent professional boxer, I'd fight Mayweather in a heartbeat, even if the pay was low. Assuming I give a good account for myself, it would put me in a good position to make more in my future bouts.

He fought Mayweather for the glory, you know how boxers USED to be. Yeah the conversion rate is good, but as soon as he leaves US with US dollars he will get taxed out the ass. Look at Canelo and his new pad in i think San Diego. The money he made in Mayweather fight stayed in US.

Boo hoo for Maidana, he said he'd be happy fighting in a cellar with no audience.
