One judge had it a draw. So that means Maidana won 6 rounds.

According to Showtime commentators, the other two judges must have been watching something else ...... meaning, they both had a bad night. Happens sometimes.

Like every other one of Mayweather's fights, this was supposed to be fixed but there was a miscommunication because of the language barrier.

Maidana was told "Throw the fight" but he misinterpreted it as "Overhand right".

He won the respect of the people. Nothing wrong with losing honorably in a close fight

It's funny that when a guy lands at 26%, people think Floyd is getting killed, because they are used to seeing shots landed at less than 20%. I hope Maidaina gets his rematch in September. It was a great fight!
A lot gave Floyd the benefit of the doubt and said 7-5 for Floyd.

          This is what probably happened:
Maidana was sweeping the first 5 rounds but there were a few rounds that Maidana was not as convincing even though he won. So, with that in mind, the scorers will take into consideration that the opponent is Floyd and give him those rounds. In other words, it was hard for them to say that they didn't give Floyd a round or just one round.

This has happened with other fights as well.

I had it 7-5 Maidana but have no probs with a draw or 7-5 the other way. Gotta hold my hands up and give Marcos credit for the performance he put in. It really should have been a mismatch, but it looks like father time is catching up with Floyd. I dont expect him to take on a serious threat now until he hangs them up. The writing is on the wall.

Floyd won a tough close fight. YOu expect Maidana to think he won. The overwhelming majority of the objective, reputable media outlets scoring the fight had floyd winning.

I think there will be a rematch in Sept unless cotto beats sergio.

Hats off to chino . You brought it to him Boludo ! Can't say it was enough to get the win from Floyd or say robbery but then again I don't thing Floyd did enough to get chinos belt. Watched it a few times and it was a tough fight to call.all I cancan say is nobody has ever made money may look vulnerable like chino made him apear. War CHINO ! War September!

I wonder if Chino is more popular than Lucas and Sergio now. Loss might have been the best thing that has happened to his career.

He's always been more popular then Matthysse.

The TV ratings were through the roof and obviously his populariy is only going to grow at this point. Argentina probably recognizes him as one of the best boxers on the planet.
