I here WAY too much about Wilder being untested. While I think that's largely true, these same folks make it sound like Stiverne HAS been. Now I agree that first fight with Arreola was bombs away, a boxing lesson. The second one, not so much. Chris was waxing his ass up until that 6th round. Had it gone beyond the 6th, I think Stiverne still would have won... but it was much more competitive.

So, here's a play on numbers to put it in perspective.

The combined records of all Wilder's opponents after 32 pro fights is 451-218-23. Stiverne's opponents, after 26 fights, have a combined record of 337-201-21.

If you divide both combined records by the number of fights they've both had, you get a "combined opponent average" of:

Wilder = 14-7-1; and Stiverne = 13-8-1. And finally, keep in mind fellas... that Deontay is undefeated with no draws. Stiverne lost to a guy with a 11-15-0 record and drew with a guy that had a 17-17-1 record.

I'm pulling for Stiverne but we need to be fair to Wilder. He HAS faced bums... but Stiverne isn't any better.
Stivernne has been tested far more than Wilder. That's not arguable. He has gone the distance, fought better fighters, and has proven he can take hard punches. Never been knocked down.

His loss was a bogus stoppage eight years ago. Some people always talk about that fight without even watching it. Just looking at boxrec doesn't cut it.

This is not a numbers game. It's who you fight and what you go through to improve.

Wlad was stopped by Ross Puritty who's record ******. As you can see it means absolutely nothing in the present.

If Wilder beats him impressively he's a threat to anybody in the division.

Your version of Stiverne-Arreola 2 is ridiculous. The fight was competitive until Arreola got knocked silly. There was no dominating in there from either one.

This is a difficult fight to predict so in my opinion if Wilder knocks Stiverne out cold in the first 4 to 5 rounds he will show he is the real deal but a good fighter like stiverne is a dangerous opponent who will knockout wilder in the 3rd quarter of the fight between rounds 3 and 6. Stiverne by KO in between round 6 and 9 if he survives to Deontay in the first 4 rounds.
Do not click on the link if you do not want to but in there i give a longer opinion and analysis of te fight.
if i Have to choose only one i go for stiverne, quick, better technique, power of his own... just a shame that Donking probably keeps half of his earnings

I don't know if it just me but...

Wilder seems to be in the grip of some weird mania.

Far too hyped up and animated - almost like he is hiding some fear or nerves.

I have not seen much of him before a fight, so maybe he is always like this?

I like Stiverne's state of mind / body language - he looks ready for work.

So the referee will jump in and stop it only because Wilder throws a punch? Yeah okay.

Man, this is the LONGEST day ever!

7 hours to go until the fight and it feels like an entire weekend has already passed since this morning.

I am so excited for tonight.

NO JOKE, I dreamed about this fight for the past 2 nights. Same dream too. Like I was in some random place where the fight was going to take place and just waiting for the event to start.

There's something about this fight that has me really hyped up. Of course the animosity and bad blood contributes to it (I love when fighters go into a big fight with genuine bad intentions), but I am overly excited for this fight.

WAR WILDER!!!!!! Might go out, get a bottle of tequila and watch the fight drunk as ****.
