I don't think Wilder is dumb enough to expose his chin when trying to land something significant.
That's all he does when he is trying to land something significant. Once he goes into full on windmill mode he leaves himself wide open for exactly what Stiverne excels at.

Even though I am backing Stiverne and I maintain he is an excellent boxer and all that, there's one thing already alluded to that ****s me about him and lets him down a bit.
His workrate sucks!
Now I understand better than most that a 240lber with as much muscle as Stiverne can't produce the kind of output as a smaller HW even if he IS conditioned really well.
But his output is often downright lazy! Being cerebral and not wasting shots is fine but he should apply more pressure than he does! If so, he might find he creates openings for smashing counters more often than merely waiting for a mistake.

For whatever it's worth (which shouldn't be much), I say Wilder catches him cold and TKO's him in Round 1 after 2 or 3 knockdowns.
Stiverne is obviously the superior fighter but I think Wilder will be reckless and just get lucky. He'll spark Stiverne before Stiverne is good and warmed up and that will be that.
As a southern boy, I was really intrigued by Wilder until I saw All Access. That taught me that he has that same loudmouthed "I be clownin' deez fools" attitude that really motivated me to leave the south in the first place.
So I think Wilder wins with a puncher's chance but I'm rooting for Stiverne simply because his demeanor doesn't enrage me nearly as much as Wilder's.
