Broner Banned For a Year by WBO/WBC but is it fair? [POLL]

okay, first off what he said aint racist imo, guys like Nacho be saying Mayweather and Bradley fight "black" but he aint get banned but Broner get banned for saying he beat up a mexican? wtf is going on in boxing that shi- like this happens? why not deal with corruption like judges awarding gifts or trying to rob fighters like with the 114-114 Canelo Mayweather score or the Maidana - Mayweather 114-114 score. This is ridiculous.

You know if it was Molina saying he beat up a black boxer he wouldn't be getting banned. But The Problem gotta apologize? if he backs down and apologizes he'll lose me as a fan.

what do yall think? should AB apologize? was the punishment fair? polls up

Very fair, any out of line comments need to be meet with likewise punishment. Nothing new here, Juanma got suspended for his dumb comments after a fight.

apples and oranges it's not the same scenario, I don't think you're seeing this from an objective point of view

I don't really get "offended" by stuff people say or participate in "public outcry", but I agree with disciplinary actions just because boxing is already too much about saying whacky stuff for attention/money. Broner takes undeserved hype to new lows.

These guys are also used to race trolling hippie white america where people are just like "oh haha you're so right sir! we suck!". I don't think most Mexicans especially those in boxing are so spineless. He should have expected this.

Broner can't afford to lose you as a fan. He's down to about 4 of you all together now.

I am a Mexican , born and living in México and i was not offended by Broner's comment at all , i think he was just trying to freestyle rhyming African with Mexican?

This suspension is over the top. A fine would of been just fine.

I think it was a ****** & juvenile statement to make in the environment he was in and considering the day/weekend it was.

I didn't consider it racist though. He stated a fact, that he did just beat the fcuk out of a Mexican. He didn't say "some latino" or "some whiteboy"

I think a ban is over the top, but equally i think Broner acting like a ****** hood rat, running his mouth and causing friction in that arena with a load of Mexicans is dumb and he does need to learn humility
