Floyd is about to cash in on dumb fans and triple what he made on a pointless worthless rematch. Lol people actually think maidana won. I had it 115-113 on fight night, but now its wider maidana did NOT win.
i had it 118-110 i didn't feel maidaina had any real technique other than clubbing to the back of the head. I gave him 5 and 8 those were the two rounds he out fought floyd for more than a minute in the middle of the ring.

no rematch the people saying maidiana drew or won are like in the 8% minority. floyd has bigger fish to fry like the cotto martinez winner.

Once people are looking back on his career without all the bull**** surrounding him, and just seeing his career as a series of fights, they'll recognise is greatness.

His one and only career flaw.....another great for a rival. Jones didn't have one either I guess, but he had two fighters better than anyone Floyd has fought.
Yeah it's weird. I was thinking about it and realized that Julio Cesar Chavez had Meldrick Taylor but does he hold a win over a truly great, HOF fighter in his prime? I guess every fighter should be judged differently.

Two reasons Maidnana has succes on Saturday night, one because he pressure Floyd, two cause he didn't just follow Floyd around the ring.

According to Floyd "he" made this fight more interesting by letting Maidana pound on him. That's how "he" made it a fan friendly fight, right?

So in case Floyd is gonna be the boring old boxer that he is & the rematch is gonna be completely different, then why the fcuk would the fans watch the rematch?

Floyd seriously needs to think before speaking out. Give Maidana credit he brought it & fought really well. The rematch is gonna be similar with Maidana putting a lot of pressure & Floyd fighting on the back foot all the time. It's gonna be close once again IMO.

Floyd would have boxed his ears off in the first fight if he could have. Fact. He didnt.. It was a very close fight. In the middle of the ring Maidana got smoked? Is that why May kept eating the Chino jab over and over in the center if the ring?

What makes a fighter a truly great fighter is the fact that he is willing to fight anyone and everyone.

Chavez to start with he wasn't suppose to Azebache, a fighter that many thought beat Azumah Nelson in theire first encounter after losing to Chavez by tko.

Fighters get their due because of their tough competition in and around there weight class and thats something Chavez did was fight the tough fighters and made it look easy.

Save face, exactly. He wont appreciate Maidana's effort and later on he'll cry in some interview that "he" doesn't get the credit he deserves. Story of Floyd's life.

One thing i noticed about rematchs sometimes "a fighters isn't willing to dig as deep as the first fight" - Paulie Ayala after his fight with Bones Adam on there 2nd encounter.

Floyd found out quickly he couldn't come at Castillo and fight with him in their rematch as he tried and tried again but it would back fire time again, similar will happen if Floyd trys to come at Maidanna in the rematch.

Ultimately, a fighter is measured by who they fought and what the outcome was (although some like to pretend it's about who they didn't fight -- which would negate pretty much everyone).
