I had the first 6 rounds 3-3 and the last 6 rounds 5-1 in favor of Mayweather. You can say 4-2 for Maidana in the first 6 but that's about it. If you watch the with no commentary it will give you more objectivity in my opinion.

the funny thing is mayweather doesn't want ref tony weeks again in any of his future fights.
mayweather has very limited inside game. his punches seem to come from mid range. he then clinches excessively rather than risk an inside fight. mayweather had to look to the ref to make maidana stop punching
the fight was close, either man could've won by a round or two but that's it. the judge that scored 9-3 rnd was fucking blind

This is one of my favorite Mayweather fights. Both Floyd's haters and fans got to take something away from this fight, and I enjoy the discussion. For me, Mayweather showed he could grind out a tough victory while overcoming adversity, and with his skills in rapid decline. Maidana brought his best performance ever, and it made for a good show. I'm proud of both fighters and wouldn't be opposed to a rematch.

... But what I have against Floyd is that he didn't allow Maidana to use his regular MX puncher gloves -- this was mighty unfair...

There was speculation that this could be Mayweather's last fight, but he said he would grant Maidana a rematch.
