Thurman beat Julio Diaz in much more impressive fashion than Khan who was in the running for the Floyd sweepstakes, no?

Jesus Soto-Karass had just dominated Berto who had been the Floyd gatekeeper up until then lol.

Robert Ghost, Ortiz, and Maidana all beat overhyped gatekeepers to face Floyd.

We would rather have seen Floyd move up to fight Sergio Martinez and stop whining about negotiating with Arum and fight Pac..Floyd won't fight Lara if he beats Canelo (I'd bet). So who else is there Khan? Collazo?

Floyd's antics are not good for boxing, and he unfortunately will be remembered as the guy who ducked Pacquiao in his prime and cherry-picked opponents to stay undefeated.

Even Canelo was a cherry pick...everyone knew that Canelo had stamina problems, barely got by Trout, and was drained to make 152.
All Manny had to do was take the $40 mil. he was offered personally by Floyd. He was too worried about what Floyd was making.

In many fans eyes they all are cherry picks after he beats them or it's an excuse.

I wouldn't mind seeing Thurman fight Floyd but at the same time I think there's other fights out there that are more worthwhile and fun to watch then a Floyd-Thurman fight.

Well obviously even since before the De La Hoya fight, Floyd has a history of avoiding fights and retiring unless he feels comfortable with the opponent and the terms (see Mosley years before they fought, see Cotto at 140, see Margarito at 47 instead fought Baldomir, see Pacquiao about 10 times, see Sergio Martinez at 154 but fought a post-Margo and Pac beaten Cotto, etc.) Compare that to someone like Pacquiao who has been and is willing to fight anyone within a reasonable weight limit.

Floyd is going to fight Danny Garcia in September, Porter will face Khan, he'll fight the winner in May and finish with Pacquiao next September in his last fight. That's the most appealing and logical path for boxing and business.

As for Thurman, I think his biggest fights will be at 154. He can fight a guy like Clottey or Ishe Smith, Kirkland, Lara, Canelo, Andrade. You guys always say a small guy like Floyd should move up and nothing about a bigger guy like Thurman taking on the challenge then say he's being ducked. I bet none of those guys I mentioned will turn him down

Once they are signed up he will be fed a bum and claim 'I' staying busy and no one wants to fight me'.
Guerrero already turned him down and has been trying to get out of his contract with Al Haymon last I heard.

Take the $40 million? Didn't 50 Cent already say that Floyd was worried about what the other fighter was making rather than himself and that was the problem. Floyd makes more getting 60/40 with Pac than any other fight. So whatever Floyd offers Pac, Pac should accept in your Floyd-worshiping mind. At the time when Floyd made that offer...it should have been 50/50.

Thurman will more than likely fight for the vacant WBA championship (Floyd will vacate it guaranteed). Then he will become full champion and that's where he can make some noise.
