Calm down, sparky. We're having a debate. I asked a simple question that you couldn't answer.

And I'm telling you how your thinking is flawed. Why beg, borrow, and steal, if the bottom line is so lucrative? Why not front whatever money they have, and then recoup on the profits?

NBA owners don't have to borrow money in order to pay a player. If he exceeds your spending limit, and you have to borrow from another entity, was it really worth it? That's why I said, they went all in with Floyd.

It would work out to being 6 a year. Which is what HBO use to do for the last several years.

Not mention you cross cancel if they fight eachother

Can't believe there's guys here defending this move. If you guys were true Manny Pacquiao fans you would be hating this news and hoping he becomes a free agent.

You are a naive, and basic person. Business men are already thinking 20 steps ahead of the way. I'm sure Arum knows nothing about the fact that Showtime can offer him a deal. I'm sure that concept it completely foreign to him.

Yeah, they'd be pulling the wool over his eyes alright.

No one's defending the move. We're rationalizing why a man with money issues would want to sign with the company that can afford to offer him the highest amount of $$$.

I hate that he might possibly sign back with TR. As a grown man, I understand it though.

I was using the borrow line as a point of inference. However teams would go over the salary cap and pay a luxury tax to sign a player if they thought he could help them win it all. Which means they would be going over budget.

Where do the contradictions end with you cats?
What sickens me is that this is supposed to be a BOXING SITE, not a business site. When does purses, contracts and bosses matter as long as the fighter fights and happy?

Now that Al Haymon controls the sport it's all about business and accounting. The sport part comes second.
