Going up a weightclass and fighting the no. 3 ranked fighter is now considered to be cherrypicking?

        Deal with It!
Ward cleaned his division, Golovkin hasn't and can't if fighters or credible opponents don't want to fight him and when he does the discrediting will begin. (He's too old, he's too shot)
I respect Wards doing but calling GGG a duck, because an overrated Erislandy Lara called him out with alternate contractual ties?

        Please.......

Well I'm more interested in the boxing than his pockets. But, in terms of PPV, Golovkin will get there without taking the risk of moving up to fight Chavez.

I believe it will(Carry to 168) as Gennady spars with heavyweights on a regular basis as he tends to hurt guys 175 and below according to guys who train at the Summit Gym in Big Bear. A fight between him and Chavez could be a FOY candidate, I hope they get this signed!

ALL OF THEM. You can ask a lot of questions like, which fight at 168 has led you to believe GGG could beat JR at that weight? 0. I just know that JR has a lot more skills and legitimate power at 168 that people constantly overlook. GGG is a good fighter, I'm a fan, but If you take a look at his last couple fights, even against Stevenson. GGG has been getting hit.. A LOT, and If Chavez is able to land those same punches I'm not so sure GGG will have the same reaction he's been having the last couple fights. People said Jr would lose to lee and Rubio, he was 1 punch away from KO'ing Martinez.

Yea Broner sparred with Middleweights yet his power didn't carry to 147 well. Sparring is sparring. means nothing. I think GGG's power will carry but imo he won't be hitting harder than Chavez...

WBC and WBO have him listed as no 1 contender.

                    Boxrec places him at 3.

Let's not quibble. Outside of the belt holders he's the no.1 or no.2 contender so that places him at top 5 or so. However you break it down this is not a cherry picked fight for GGG.

Temp move, only a month after that fight. If he still down, or able to fight twice a year, there's fall.
Depends on if WBC will let unification go ahead of mando
