Definitely. His combinations in his prime would've been too much IMO

At 25 years of age, I would have beaten Mayweather with ease. ~Oscar De La Hoya

Oscar had so much more speed back in the day. That was something that Floyd has yet to really come face to face with - the speeds of prime Mosley, De La Hoya, and Pacquiao. The closest thing to that was Zab Judah, who we all know is a mental midget. I really would give the fight to Oscar if it was prime for prime.

So you lose 117-111/116-112 the closest possible score to a slow floyd mayweather at 154 pounds in 2007 who is BARELY a welterweight 7 years later today....
but you mean to tell me you would have beaten mayweather when you were 25, at 147?
Delusional, oscar.

I doubt he could have beaten Mayweather at a more comfortable weight or gloves of his choosing. In fact Oscar had a better shot because Mayweather at that point was a small '47.

At no point in Oscar's career would he have beaten Floyd. He doesn't do anything better than Floyd, and he would have to deal with a younger, comfortable Floyd at that. Mayweather UD, the same way he clearly UD'd him in 2007. Oscar had a chance to fight a younger Floyd while he himself was closer to his prime, he passed on the fight, for good reason. No need to cry about should of could of would of's at this point.

Oscar would have beaten Floyd at 25. I see that its only the usual floyd fluffers that are saying otherwise. Sad .
