There is nothing scarier in this sport than someone who can take a hard shot wont go down, and is easy to hit.

Its why what happened to Mago happened to him. To say "oh they know what they are doing" is really ****** and a dangerous attitude.

That is why there are commissions and referees, fighters need to be saved from themselves on occasion, and Chavez needs saving from this.

Nobody though Rocky could be the Russian, Mr T, or even Apollo. Heck nobody ever though Rocky had a chance in any of his fights. Plus Chavez looked good to me against Vera. Floyd Lite

This would be the end of the Chavez Jr hoax once and for ever...which is probably why it will never happen but I would love to see it just for the laugh.

Maybe Ward can goad Tommy Gun into fighting in Oakland. Poor guy, got no one to fight(unless he moves to LHW then has everyone to fight).

Martinez embarrassed by this "bum" in front of millions. The only part people remember from that fight is that 12th round when Chavez finally let his hands go. In a rematch, Chavez would beat the living crap out of Martinez again.
Yeah chavez also outweighed martinez by 17 lbs and was 10 years younger, oh yeah and he got destroyed for 11 1/2 rounds before that.

Quickest way to titles and big name champions.......Ward called GGG out though.......just sayin did we forget? What happened to unfinished business at 160 and wanting to clear out the division....so Chavez and not Ward? Oh so brave.

Seems like Chavez is willing to send a contract, probably pretty lucrative and on PPV. Ward seemed a lot more interested in Chavez as well. if GGG wins as expected, his leverage goes way up, especially since the beatdown will be crowdpleasing.

“That’s the fight Gennady has always wanted,” Loeffler said.

Yes, what happened to clearing out 160? Hunter's comments about "spot-picking" ringing in anyone's ears?!

However good management is about picking the right fights at the right time, let's not forget that pro boxing is business first.
