"The last fighter Floyd looked ordinary against was Zab Judah"
Ordinary? OK, we still love ya Ricky, but fuck off with that shit. It was highly competitive for about 4 rounds, after which Mayweather put on a signature ass-whooping for the rest of the fight. "Ordinary" indeed...

Green K sent. Not sure why Hatton is brown nosing Amir so much. Everyone keeps going on about speed, but speed is worthless without timing and Amir's sucks. Floyd would pick him apart with consummate ease. Khan's speed didn't do him too many wonders against an old shopworn Julio Diaz, did it?

Hatton's just trying to side with his countryman, Khan. In reality, who cares what Hatton thinks? Like it or not, this fight's going to happen and nobody knows how it will turn out. Guess what? it might even be entertaining, and that's all we really want.

Hatton got it twisted though....Maidana might get stopped....this is the opponent that gets Gatti'd....Khan would've lost as well but it would've been similar to the Cotto fight imo....if you can't hit Floyd with a JAB you won't be able to hit him with anything else...we've been through this a million times on here....the key to troubling Floyd is to disrupt his rhythm....jab his ass to death....when we had to pick fighters we thought could beat Floyd.....Tommy Hearns and Vernon Forrest was the 2 leading vote getters if I remember correctly!!

Dedicated jabbers....Hoya had success but once he got buckled his hoe ass tucked that gun back in his bra and left a apple on Floyd's desk....like a good student!!

Khan has the tools to trouble Floyd at times....not the tools to beat him.....I think that's where people get it twisted....I know Castillo gave Floyd hell with a certain style, but Floyd has evolved as fighter and that style is now heaven....so many fighters have tried to implement that plan into their playbook and each time they came up short.....I'm not advocating for Khan to get the fight over Chino....that would be ******, Khan hasn't done **** to deserve it

just wanna clear the misconception on here about this Floyd Maidana Khan saga....I don't think Khan or any other WW on the planet can beat Floyd....but there's a few who would give him something to solve....IMO Khan is one of them
...and after the 2-3 rounds (if that) the problems solved. Khan will start running around retreating the entire fight. Meanwhile Maidana who will eat shot after shot and will come right at him regardless. A smaller Margarito if you will, minus the cowardly plaster of course.

Of course it's not enough on it'sown to win you the fight, but it may at least buy you a round here and there, Ricky himself had underrated footspeed and at least for a round or two at the start, it was enough to frustrate floyd into making some mistakes and not have it all his own way, until floyd figured out hattons weaknesses

I think lack of footspeed is one of the worst handicaps against floyd, stationary fighters really can't do much to him at all because if he chooses to he will stay out of range all night long and you really cant do anything to him he doesnt want done.

This is a mismatch, people are blinded by power but power means nothing if you cant hit your opponent, and maidana wont be able to hit floyd.
This is 100% right. When the fight was made, I made a post saying "this is like Floyd fighting a smaller Canelo," and I got some heat. I did not mean that Maidana fights like Canelo, but rather that the fight will be a mismatch with no discernable advantages in Maidana's favor...at least Canelo had the size advantage.

I then revised it to "Floyd fighting a slower Hatton with nowhere near the footwork," which I think is more apt. I do think Floyd will get his first stoppage since Hatton in this fight due to Maidana's willingness to come forward and throw punches, but Maidana will not have even the spotty success that Ricky had.

My friend every post you make you seem confused , make your mind up weather it's maidanna or maidana or maydana ...yes very confused ...let me help, it was Maidana and he beat Adrian Broner who was making big noises , Khan on the other hand was knocked out then beat a lightweight in Molina , then fought a over the hill career lightweight who put him on his arse therefore , not rocket science it was , yes you've got it(or have you?) Maidana who got to fight mayweather...there you go.

Margarito is a disgrace. No boxer in good standing should be compared to him.

                      I pretty much agree.

Khan doesn't deserve the fight and his chances would be thin in any case.

With that said, Floyd is not a massive puncher and Khan's speed might lead him to land more (jabs) than most. Not saying he'd win, far from that, but he could win some round here and there, especially at the beginning of the fight.

While Maidana is tailor made for Floyd in my opinion, the Castillo legend is just that, a legend. Floyd had a night off, but won the rematch and handed a beating to all these 'pure pressure' fighters they put in front of him.
