I'd gladly do an avatar bet with you that Lara will lose to Mayweather. He goes life and death with Molina, Vanes and Angulo....but he's going to beat the best boxer on the planet? I don't see it.

Lara is certainly not faster or smarter, either.

In order for this bet to happen Floyd has to actually man up and fight Lara which will never happen.

I don't necessarily think Mayweather loses to him. I just think it would be much more competitive than all his fights excluding Castillo. If they were to fight, I'd have Floyd as the favourite. I'd say he'd have between a 55% and 60% chance of beating Lara.

Lara has longer reach than anyone Floyd has ever faced. 73" is the longest reach on a Floyd opponent (DLH and Corrales). Lara has 75" in reach. Also, Floyd doesn't like fightting the highest quality southpaws. This is why Pacquiao, Williams, and Martinez were never chosen as opponents. This tells us Floyd isn't confident of his ability against them and there must be a reason for this.

Sergio Martinez is the only fighter/boxer with the speed, rings smarts and can adjust on the fly who can give and possibly beat Mayweather. In order to beat Mayweather you have to be able to out think Mayweather or at least take advantage when opportunities show themselves. I always felt and feel that Sergio Martinez would be Mayweather's hardest fight. Cotto is going to get an ol school, after school yard beating against Sergio.

Floyd hasn't fought a natural southpaw since Judah and we saw what happened in rounds 1-5. Mayweather couldn't utilize his shoulder roll either, he fought mostly out of the high guard. Floyd was knocked down in 2and the left hand couldn't miss.

Ortiz and Guerrero aren't natural southpaws. They are both right hand dominant.

And for the record wasn't there a rehydration clause for Angulo Lara? Angulo didn't even honor the clause either and still quit.
