    Ward clinches too much.

That was a boxing lesson right there, Ward is amazing. P4P skills.

Oh man, it amazes me how people praise Ward, but on the other hand complain about Kel Brook holding vs Porter. Ward wants to hold as you can see, Porter was running at Brook like a Rhino looping his punches behind his back which led to clinches. In some cases it happens, but when it is your "gameplan" then it means you actually arent that skilled. Jalnic. Anyway obviously GGG has a more fan friendly style. He boxes, keeps distance well, counters, pressures, defends..it is called boxing afterall.

ward-he fights actual real opponents. how entertaining is it to watch a no hoper get KTFO.

I wish we could just match ward and GGG up in the ring, then we'd see who is more exciting.

We'd see Ward Clinch 24/7, as per usual. Sorry, but it's universally obvious Golovkin is more entertaining and fan friendly, and always will be. The fact you class every opponent Golovkin has faced as a 'no-hoper' signifies your bias pretty clearly.

tell me one fight of GGG's you saw where you thought the opponent was going to win? when was the last time GGG wasn't favored?

I'm sorry, I thought this discussion was about entertainment and fan-friendly style, not level of opposition.

I'm not denying Ward has a better resume, but this isn't about resume. Golovkin knocks people out, violently and with great boxing ability, while arguably having a much bigger fan base in ~2 years than Ward has generated in his whole career. GGG wins this vote, try to stay on topic please.

One cannot assess Ward's style in terms of "boxing" -- the guy is practicing a sport which wasn't invented yet.

Ward with his defensive style and Golovkin for in offensive style. Both bring two different dynamics of the sport.

A more intriguing question would be who's style is more effective and would that style work against more top tier opponents.

Though I don't believe Golovkin has been tested by a true top tier opponent, his skill offensively is undeniable but how would that skill do against a truly skilled defensive boxer?
There is where you argument fails, from atechnical standpoint what they do(hitting and excessively clinching/holding for 12 rounds) is not legal. Only a casual fan would say that.
