I will say this. As a GGG and Ward fan, I would much rather watch a GGG fight.. He's just more entertaining plain and simple. As far as stepping up in competition however? Well, that's another story....

There are growth processes to the stars we see in the night sky. Not all of them develop in the same way and not all those that once had star potential end up actually making it onto the main sequence, we just see remnants.
GGG is still a protostar, and he hasn't quite started his fusion process. He might need a borrow some hydrogen from the winner of Cotto/Sergio. If he acquires enough of it and gets hot enough, the fusion commences...then he moves onto the main sequence and and we have a legit star.
Ward has been through his process himself - believe it or not, he is a star. He just may not be the brightest type. But not all of the brightest live the longest.

GGG is a fun lil dude atm, if you dont like his fans chatter... cant blame ya. but it comes and goes with the popular guy. i personally don't see the rush. why have him fight ward too early and lose his 0, they're making money him fighting these dudes at middleweight. everything here will work out in the end i believe.

All 3 have said they would fight GGG, all 3 would better prepare him for a Ward fight. But we as a boxing community don't want to see that. We as a boxing community applaud GGG fighting Adama and Stevens and turn around and say guy's like Ward have to prove their P4P status and get more active. What kind of logic is this? And all of you who say he should stay at 160 are enablers lol
if you think that all boxing fans are all going to agree on something........ well thats just not NSB. good back and forth debate is what keeps us from all falling under the same lame impression. peace brother

Cant wait until this fight its signed
I hope the odds are almost even so i can place a big bet on Ward who will make GGG look like an average fighter....
Still id rather watch a GGG fight too his style its much more fan friendly than wards.
Its just that skill wise Ward its too much for him.

Both fighters are being showcased by HBO, and the anticipation for a Ward-Golovkin fight is growing.
Ward says Golovkin's team have always stated that their man is ready to face any boxer from 154 to 175. In response to that, Ward is willing to fight him. On the other end, Ward strongly feels that Golovkin's team have backed away from that campaign.

GGG is the man, but who has he beaten? Fans and promoters have such a habit of overhyping fighters, it's pathetic. I hate having to reality check people about my favorite fighters, but GGG has beaten no one, and until he does, he shouldn't be expected to be matched against elite fighters and he shouldn't be ranked. What is this, the HW division? You can't be cracking the top 10 by crushing tomato cans.

All your guys are a division up, but even then it's nowhere that simple. Froch fight Groves and won't fight till end of year at best. Bika is Showtime, all the Haymon prospects are targeting him. Dirrell is pretty much retired and as unreliable as there is. Ward is there, but it's fine if G builds his cred before such a big task, esp if Sergio is ready to step up. I agree Andy Lee won't do anything for him though, but at last he fights often.
