Fighting Maidana is a wake up call.

"Every one has a gameplan until they get punched in the mouth" --Mike Tyson

Every one thinks they're gonna outbox Maidana until he starts dropping those sledgehammers on you in volume. Maidana is not a one-punch-at-a-time big puncher; he's a volume puncher big puncher. And now that he's learning technical skills from Robert Garcia he's a monster.

There is no real "safe" when in the ring with Marcos Maidana, but the closest you can get to it is holding on for dear life, ala Devon Alexander.

Of course he is. This fight is a mismatch.

Will Floyd go for the KO?

Of course not, it will be another wide decision win. He'll make Maidana miss and play it safe for 12 rounds.
Here is the deal, you said within 3 or 4 rounds, which is absolutely absurd. Floyd isn't that kind of fighter, so to say a statement like that is dumb.

Now if you had said you would be disappointed if Floyd doesn't stop him it would be different, but instead you picked an outcome that has zero chance of happening just to validate your disappointment.

Possibly late but in 2 or 4 rounds? You don't believe that you're just setting up Floyd for failure and it's clear as day.

Floyd could hit Maidana with everything including the kitchen sink in the first 3 or 4 rounds and he still wouldn't be able to get him out of there.

[4] Dang, that sucks. I have one. But I currently live in an upstairs apartment, so I have no place to hook it up. They are really fun. Great physical outlet for tension, stress, and pressure from life..
I guess so man.. its funny because I rarely do roadwork. Guess there is more than one way to skin a cat as far as cardio is concerned. To me.. the heavy bag helps me to fine tune power punching technique and its very cathartic as well...I believe you are what you train.. ive noticed significant personal gains in power compared to when I used to try to train everything when I was with a trainer doing that whole amateur bit as a younger man.

my speedbag was junk anyway.. platform never stayed level. im thinking about getting a new stand for my bag or maybe just getting a new bag and stand.. the kind that has a speed bag on the back.

Maidana fell but he wasn't hurt at all. He immediately sent Ortiz to the canvas. Chino fell again twice in the second round, but he was not hurt at all (again). And Ortiz hits HARD.

Who really hurt Chino in the first round was Khan, but again it proves it is not easy to stop Maidana.

I'm implying he's not a hard puncher, which he's not.

He has decent pop at best.

Saying "Floyd should stop Maidana in 3 or 4 rounds" is just beyond ridiculous. No one at WW stops Maidana in 3 or 4 rounds let alone Mayweather.

Ortiz didn't nearly stop Maidana either, plus Ortiz hits much harder than Floyd does.

It's once again another ridiculous statement.

                    Precisely.

So he's doing the same thing that he doesn't like when people do to Klitschko.

Mayweather is showing Maidana no respect with the 8 week training camp.
