First, thanks Chino for the great fight!!! I've followed you since you came to the US and you've never disappointed (with one exception, LOL.). I feared that this could be a one sided affair with Chino fixating and following and Floyd firing ones from the outside all night, and that fear was unfounded. I said I though this would probably be Floyd's toughest post Hatton fight, and I'm very glad I was right on that. Awesome fight, even with everything stacked against Chino.

Any fight I'm emotionally invested in (like this one) I re-watch a score on paper with notes. I'm interested in seeing how my next day numbers come out. I'll probably re-watch this fight tonight after GoT, Californiacation, and Continuum.

    Great fight though.

I've arrived late to this thread. I just want to say I'm satisfied I wasn't wrong when I said this would be a competitive fight and that maybe we would see Mayweather - Maidana II. But I have to be honest: I couldn't enjoy the time previous of this fight. I don't complain about NSB, where I find any kind of opinions, but I was tired of reading in so many websites that it would be a mismatch, the easiest fight of Money's career and so on. Some people should reexamine their ideas about boxing... Even right now I'm reading some guys saying Chino wouldn't beat any top WW lol...

Floyd won every round from the 5th rd on I was close enough to see the punches clearly; Maidana hustled his a$$ off but he got credit for a bunch punches that weren't clean or flush. I see no need for a rematch like the Cotto fight tough competitive but a clear winner.

I need to rewatch when I get home but I thought chino clearly won the 8th and 12th.

The difference between this and the cotto fight is there is actually demand for a rematch by a lot of people and this fight was legit close in both points and the closeness in the rounds.

Out of all the options in september who could make a better than chino in a rematch? Imo no one. Khan cant fight then, porter and thurman and ready/non enough, and everyone at tr is out. Chino makes the most sense assuming cotto doesnt beat martinez of course.

Those body shots chino three were brutal. He was tenderizing Floyd with those nice body shots.

Add a punchers gloves in chino's hands...

            Floyd won't see 12 rounds.

Floyd got hammered by tomahawk punches and if Maidana wearing punchers gloves on. Floyd would have GTFO.

Floyd looked like a lost puppy in there. Dazed and confused as if he needed to find mommy.

I wouldn't mind a rematch since all the rounds were close. How was it after the fight.

I scored rounds 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 for Floyd. So that's easily 7 rounds of who landed the cleaner and better punches. People got carried away way too much. I gave Maidana credit for some of the body punches that he landed on the inside, but after the first early rounds, he only had a few moments in spurts where he ambushed and pushed Floyd against the ropes.

Round 8 could've gone either way, and Floyd landed the cleaner and better punches in that round.

You mean besides Manny? Chino is the best option... But he won't be able to wear his gloves so really, how is the outcome gonna be any different.

New ref too that will make sure Floyd gets the exact type of fight he's comfortable with, rendering any chance Chino has an impossibility. And to top it off, Floyd will have already adjusted to his style.

After last night's fight, it's pretty much a certain that floyd will never fight manny.

It's frustrating being a boxing fan, that's for sure. You try to love the sport but they just keep making it more and more difficult.
