Will Kevin Johnson be yet another victim of a early stoppage against Dereck Chisora?

Kevin Johnson is difficult to hit with a clean punch. He's never been stopped or even knocked down in a fight.

But will Johnson be yet another victim of a "British stoppage" against Dereck Chisora?

Up and on his feet at 9, waved off?

    Rabbit Punch TKO!

I don't think The Chisel can really be blamed for that, he's not the referee.

I'm not saying UK officiating isn't frequently awful (see my thread on UK refs for more), but it's not like it should be attached to Dereck specifically.

Scott was up at something like 9.25, bad reffing and bad decision by Scott to wait so long but no Kingpin is going to lose a wide UD and not get hurt.

Didn't you ask that in the initial post? Why not just write "bumpity bump"?

With Johnsons somehow ever decreasing inactivity there is a strong possibility another premature stoppage is on the cards. He is becoming less & less mobile too. I vote yes safety pin gets stopped controversially.

Its shouldn't have been stopped and he shouldn't have chanced it by waiting so long to get up if he wasn't hurt.

He started getting up after 9. It wasn't a good stoppage, but it was one of those bad stoppages that I understand how it happened. Besides, Scott didn't protest much. He looked like he wanted out.

And isn't that second video the guy who had his back turned in the corner? That was strange all around.

It was a bad stoppage, and UK refs have had a particularly bad run lately. But it seems unfair to try and pin this onto Chisora, a man who - inside the ring, at least - nearly always* gives a decent account of himself.

                * Not counting the first Fury fight.

                  No, of course not.

There are many examples, such as Froch-Groves and MacKenzie-Maccarinelli.

I don't think so, it will go the distance and Johnson might get the points W.
