What possible reason would GGG have for going down to fight a not particularly big name for not very much money and no belt?

He hasn't even got much reason to fight him at 160 TBH - which is why I don't see HBO trying very hard to get this made.

As much as I like this fight, I'm pretty sure it ain't gonna happen.

Yet another guy from 154-168 that ggg will not fight. I better check the dictionary for the correct meaning of everyone.

Yea, I have heard that all before "I will fight everyone", it makes anyone look like a badas* and a fighter that is willing to risk whatever, but as soon as they get a little fame that same fighter would be nowhere to be seen when he gets called out, funny thing is GGG hasn't even got to that stage yet, Dirrell says he wants it, Kirkland isn't shying away, Lara is up for it, Molina said the same thing too. This is why I don't subscribe to the hype when someone comes around and KO a few average people then his dumb fanatics start telling us how the world is ducking him.

            Lara will expose this guy.
it would be a good fight but yes the GGG fans will jump off the wagon just like they will if kovalev loses... they all already changed their avatars when lucas matthysee lost to Garcia. it's all the same hypers...

Props to GBP for using Lara relatibve to GGG the same way HBO is using GGG relative to floyd.

GGG's fans are funny. They claim Lara is the best at 154 and would beat floyd. Now that this is suggested they go with the Lara doesn't bring any money to the table.

GGG makes like 600k for a fight, why would lara need to bring money to the table? Its not like floyd or Manny who are ppv fighters that make tens of millions to fight.

GGG is a good fighter but he really is not a top 10 p4p fighter, let alone top 5 like his network suggests. Its cool that fans like the KO's. But how about he beat some top ranked MW's in succession first.

BTW, I checked the dictionary. I think GGG, his fans and HBO need to choose a better word than "everyone" to describe who GGG will fight between 154 and 168.

Like he did to Angulo? Now that is funny, Angulo is so slow cold molasses seems quicker and he put Lara down what twice? Can you imagine a guy who stalks and cuts the ring off better than just about anyone in the game will get to Lara, I promise you. Love to see the fight regardless but the HBO vs Showtime deal will probably kill it.

Very winnable fight for Lara. GGG has a punchers chance. In a ring the size of the one in Golovkins last fight, Golovkin could score a KO.

TRUE POST. GGG's last 7 opponents had a combined 30 losses before facing him. He isnt fighting any world beaters.

As much as I love GGG i dont understand the reasoning... Angulo did it and got his face broken. :/.... Not only that but GGG can cut the ring off average competition. Chavez Jr thought he could cut the ring off too.

Until he meets a real mover and real ability and cuts THEM off and beats them there's no way to tell. Angulo might have slow hands but his feet arent AS slow. That and te consitioning he showed in that fight was amazing, havent seen GGG show anything like that yet... Lets also not leave out Angulo has faced significantly better opposition.

Anywho, I favor GGG slightly over lara. Lara has some pop at 154 but not sure about 160. I think Lara might be a little better p4p but weight classes do exists for a reason and even though its one up, it's a diff.

Still, with favorable ring ring Lara could win and potentially make Ggg look terrible.
