I went to Khan/Molina last year, and Amir did have some pockets of supporters...some Brits presumably.. and others who were running around waving a Pakistani flag in support. They were pretty hilarious to me, i enjoy seeing nationalistic fans. but I know too much of it can escalte quick, I've seen it countless times at boxing events.

So I could tell the ppl around me were um...let just say, jimmies were rustled. They ended up in a big ass rumble with like 20 Molina fans after the main event ended and some dude was laid out cold too......LAPD swooped in, sent the bird and shut down the whole place. everyone was stuck in the parking lot for an hour lol. What this has to do with this topic idk.

King Con has yet to even face a WW, yet like the spoiled brat he is, thinks he's entitled to a mega-fight with the top guy in boxing because he believes he can beat him.

Yet, contrary to that fantasy, King Con has been avoiding every WW that has challenged him, because even he realizes that he's one or two rounds away from a KO. This concept doesn't make any sense at all -- If you're so confident that you can beat the top guy, then all the rest would be or should be easy work.

Adding to the insult that is King Con .... His misguided, uninformed and very imaginative fans want to portray his so-called extraordinary speed as the determining factor against the best boxer in the game.

If King Con is so awesome .... why has he been ducking everybody for over a year?

If Floyd wants to fight Khan it should not be on ppv. Make a deal with free TV that could be as lucrative on a big network. Its true that Khan has no momentum and does not bring anything to this fight. He hasn't even fought at the weight and his last fight he looked ordinary against an ordinary fighter

What you said here is what Floyd is in. Showtime isn't willing to gamble with a lame opponent. They don't want another Guerrero again.

This shows Floyd is backed in a corner. He don't realize he can only pull good numbers if the fight is reasonably going to be competitive. Those 2 won't give him that and show time again will take a huge loss.

I think Showtime likes the momentum that Maidana brings to the table. His last four wins, including Broner, make him a more viable opponent. And with the huge Mexican fanbase latching on to Maidana .... means a lot.

Khan, is lacking any kind of network momentum and is a Pakistani who doesn't have a real fan-base here in the states.

Floyd fighting a Pakistani on a Mexican holiday would be a disaster!! Yet, even though Maidana isn't a Mexican ... he at least has a lot of Mexican support which is a plus.

You have no clue what you are talking about. Floyd's guarantee is paid by the promoter based on PPV sales, gate receipts and sponsorships. It is completely separate from his contract with Showtime. I would bet everything I own that Showtime is not paying Mayweather anywhere near the ridiculous amount of money that the bloggers claim ($250 million) and gullible people like you believe.
