What would have happened if Hatton had made a successful comeback

Its been alittle over a year since ricky hatton tried a comeback and got stopped by a body shot..

I feel hatton chose the wrong comeback opponent especially when you consider that it was already a sell out before the opponent was announced...

In my fantasy world hatton would have made a comeback like:

nov 2012- some cherrypick with a record of 22-10

jan 2013- N'dou to get ranked

spring 2013- instead of broner-pauli we would have gotten pauli-hatton 2 and hatton wins a welter title

fall of 2013-- cash grab vs morales

2014-- hatton-floyd 2 instead of the khan fight

how should hatton have handled his comeback????

it's a bit unrealistic to imagine a comeback that easy. hatton said he wanted to prove himself and he tried his best.

however we all know that if hatton won, he was getting either a titleshot/or big money fight. hatton still had one of the biggest names in boxing and you know that was not only a sad day for hatton fans but for promoters. hatton brought in $$$ especially in UK

He would have fought Malignaggi for sure.

True but look at the names i have him beating,,, cherrypick, n'dou, pauli, morales,,, not exactly having him beat maidana, broner, garcia

I think hatton needed at least one bum to shake the rust and get rid of the nerves,,
He seemed to try to hard early vs senchenko, and once things settled down after a few rounds, he gassed from being so excited and nervous, and was quickly chopped down by the body shot,,,

I think hatton would have been much better off by taking easy tune-ups to get his legs back under him, shake the rust, and get over the nervous energy he showed early vs senchenko

Hatton-corrales would have been a great scrap as well..

I think boxing really dropped the ball, should have had a round robin type tournament with gatti, corrales, hatton, castillo

I just can't rate Hatton that highly. Hatton spent 5 years defending a WBU belt. Other than Tszyu who did he beat? He's best known for his KO losses and binging on beer in between fights. He was always in exciting fights, I'll give him that.

i actually think paulie would outpoint the hatton that fought senchenko. hatton had been beating the crap out of himself for years with the drugs, and had been taking hard punches in victory and defeat.

against manny, he was out for several minutes. that's head trauma from which you never fully recover.
