I think Maidana is just having a fit because he didn't get the Mayweather fight.

He would've been ready for Floyd on 5/3, but he can't be ready for a Broner rematch on 4/19 or 4/26? That's only 1 week or 2 weeks difference.

He needs 6 weeks of rest? Okay, by February 1st he'd have 7 weeks of rest. From there he needs 10 weeks to train? He'd have 10 weeks and some change to train if the rematch was on 4/19 and 11 weeks and some change if the fight was on 4/26.

He definitely won't get the Mayweather fight in the future by going against GBP's wishes.

Like Floyd says gotta get the job done right the 1st time. Broner should move on with his career or at least fight a quick tuneup fight at WW in early April If he really wants it with Maidana again. Preferably the latter for his sake..

But I doubt Maidana is even interested in fighting Broner again at all unless its for crazy money...

Maidana don't wanna fight Broner again he might as well go ahead and say it... Sometimes you just don't feel like fighting the same person again whether you won or loss..

Even if this does get moved to the Khan Mayweather undercard it still isn't worth it

Well, Maidana pretty much already said that in his last interview. I don't think Floyd-Maidana is off the table. Hell, Floyd told the South Africans that Maidana was an option.

WTF is this? I have no idea how you came to this conclusion unless you are taking other users' posts to heart. There was mutual disrespect to both fighters on this thread.

Maidana is a better option than Khan that's for sure. The writing is on the wall already as far as the poor number of buys a Khan fight would do...

What this means is we will see Mayweather/Maidana on May 3. The last time Mayweather needed an opponent (after the negotiation with Pacquaio failed due to drug testing dispute), Andre Berto conveniently pulled out of his fight with Shane Mosley, opening the door for Mayweather/Mosley.

Now, Maidana conveniently pulls out of his rematch against Broner, opening the door for Mayweather/Maidana, which will be announced next week.
